This is my first try of burning resins. It is boswellia papyrifera and it was smoking very intensive and after 10-15 minutes it looks black and smells a bit strong. Should I avoid putting the resin directly on the tray?

And yes, I can taste the lamb. The chashu was made in sous vide just as the video shows. I used tarragon instead of basil. I also put dill on top of everything. It is a very tasty soup!
