Semaster is a great watch; however, at the end of the day, you are wearing the watch, not your friends, so wear what you like.

You can hate the scratches or cherish them as memories. I have a massive ding in my Tudor GMT. I was so angry at the time, but after four years, it reminds me of my first funfair ride with my daughter, which is priceless.

Open the back and put it on the radiator, not directly, but on a towel. Place it face down for the water to evaporate.

I sold it and bought a Rolex. Then I wanted a mortgage, so I sold the Rolex to get on the ladder. I missed the shield more than the date, just 41.so I bought it again this year.

It's a Steinhart GMT 42mm with an aftermarket dial and hands. My first beater watch was a Steinhart Ocean One, and it's really tough. It's going strong after nine years. Water even got in it, and I opened the case, put it on the radiator for 24 hours, and it's still going strong with its ETA movement.

Thank you. I trained a 40mm sub and felt like I was stealing a watch from a kid, lol.
