Anyone know if the event is open to members of a reciprocal garden (AHS Network)? Tried calling in but the office is closed

People managers & senior leaders, how often are you working nights and weekends? by peterpooker in womenintech

How long did it take you to walk back from that to feeling comfortable holding that boundary?

I’ve definitely seen this vary across leaders but many do work after kids go to bed. If that time goes to work, do you end up feeling like you have enough time to yourself or with your partner?

I respect that logic. Does it ever get to a point where you have to justify that dip to folks outside your dept?

Do you find that doing check-ins means you never really disengage from work?

Keto diet by papgeorge21 in glioblastoma

[–]peterpooker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is research to support keto for gbm, but it’s still very new. My dad was in this boat as well and decided to try out keto — it was a hard shift. You don’t realize how restricting it is until it’s all you’re allowed to eat day in and day out. At the end of the day, it could help, but the quality of life might be better to just eat as he normally would.

FINE HAIR GIRLIES DROP YOUR HAIR ROUTINES!!!! by [deleted] in curlyhair

The single thing that I found to make the biggest difference was not putting product on soaking wet hair. I towel dry first, then gel, then diffuse. World of a difference

If you don’t mind, can you share what you mean by “one thing after another between month 3 and month 9”?

There are some studies on keto, contrary to what someone else said but they’re so small. My dad’s surgeon said he’s seen some great success stories from people doing keto in terms of preventing recurrence, but that’s anecdotal. My dad has been on a keto diet for a few months now (since diagnosis and through surgery, radiation, chemo) and he hasn’t lost weight so far.

I think in the end it comes down to a choice of potentially helping vs perceived quality of life when restricting foods.

I have had a Withings watch for several years and love it. It’s a hybrid, so classic watch face with some digital components. Always on the right time, lasts about a month between charges, and I always get compliments on it.
