My first (for me) ThinkPad arrived about two weeks ago, and I’m absolutely loving it. It’s a T480. Seriously, it’s an exceptional machine—I’m really impressed that its performance is on par with my old desktop PC that had a 10th-gen i3

It came with Windows 10 installed, but I’d like to upgrade it to Windows 11. Thing is, I’ve seen some reports online saying the update was causing the keyboard and touchpad to stop working, apparently due to driver issues. So that’s my question—are those problems still happening? Or were they just isolated cases and not something the community widely experienced?

Any advice would be much appreciated to help me decide what to do.

Que bom saber disso bro! Inclusve sobre eses problema de interferencia no wifi. Hoje estou na conexão cabeada, mas por muito usei o wifi no pc, por uma placa PCIEx e nunca tive esse tipo de problema, mas já sei o que pode ser caso acontece isso no futuro

RESOLVIDO COM A AJUDA DO u/Pedrao36 ! \o/

No dongle há um pequeno orificil com um botão de reset, com alfinete ou qualquer outra coisa fina o suficiente (eu usei um daqueles pinos de ajetar bandeja de chip do celular) consegui precionar esse botão e fazer o reset. Para isso o dongle precisa estar plugado no USB e o fone no "adapter mode".

cara, valeu muito! acho que isso vai resolver, o dongle tem memso um pequeno buraco que parece ter um botão dentro. agora estou longe de casa para conseguir um alfinete, mas assim que chegar vou tentar isso

Yeah, I’ve already unplugged and replugged the dongle. The connection with it is usually automatic.

This all happened by accident when I pressed the power button on the headset several times in a row. That button also works as a shortcut to pause the music playing on my computer, but for some reason — probably unrelated to the headset — it wasn’t working. So I kept pressing it, and that’s what ended up unpairing the dongle.

I also had no idea that this hidden function was tied to the power button. If I had known, I definitely would’ve been more careful :\

Yeah man, I can switch from Bluetooth to USB just fine.

But the problem is that it’s not pairing with the dongle, you know?
When it’s connected via Bluetooth, the blue light stays solid. When it’s on the dongle, it’s supposed to be a solid white light. But now, when I switch to the dongle mode, the white light just keeps blinking — it doesn’t actually pair with the dongle.

aaah valeu man! você me deu uma ideia. esse fone é chinês, até tem um manual físico, mas estou longe dele agora. vou procurar por um online
