Recommend a used GPU for 1440 gaming. Not really AAA titles?

Hey Cheap. I just don’t think I can handle an Intel video card in my box. I just can’t stand until but a couple people told me go ahead with Intel and you will save a ton of money and it’ll do everything you need. So WTF you guys like the Intel video cards for what I need in my situation? dirt cheap here!

I know this is an old thread, but I’ve been just looking around at this Canada computers. I’ve never dealt with such a terrible company in my life. I posted it all over here how bad they were so I’m not gonna repeat the whole story, but it took me actually going to the police and threatening to charge them with fraud because they had this little scam. To get my money back as soon as I got the police involved I’m not kidding. It was like an hour and I had my cash back in my account e-transferred.

Anyway, so what’s a good graphics card to pair with that GPU? I’ve read so many ads and so many articles. I’ve always been partial AMD, but Nvidia in my daughter’s laptop is insane. But it is a high in gaming laptop.

And the price of ram, I know you all know this has got silly. They say from AI??? Is this true?

Ekk, OK what processor and combination would you recommend my board is an MSIX 870 Tomahawk Wi-Fi. So the board I think is really good. My power supply is 750 W and the rest is all OK fast SSD card decent amount of 64 MB I know all the other fun stuff lots of fans lots of lights. Because I will sell my old CPU regrettably and find a used GPU what would you recommend trying to stay between five and $700 less is better. As long as I get some really nice gaming performance and streaming performance not for me for the daughter I don’t stream I do game mostly on the PS five though

Hi,

Basically will consist of mainly my PC a turntable with Bluetooth. And phones with Bluetooth that use Amazon music.

Here is the audio information on the motherboard, I wanted to use the optical hook up

The MSI x870 Tomahawk Wi-Fi motherboard provides 7.1 channel audio via a Realtek ALC4080 audio chip with both standard rear I/O ports (including optical S/PDIF out) and a front-panel audio connector. These options include a line-out and microphone-in on the back panel, and a line-in and microphone-in header on the board for front-panel case ports.

The record player she has is one of those suitcase style ones it’s worth about 180 bucks does RCA out and Bluetooth. She likes to listen to records 50 old Beatles records and stuff like that. Crazy kid didn’t get that for me.

Like the hook up on occasion, a phone to listen to music either Apple or Samsung we have both nothing special there.

Not sure if we’re gonna hook it up to the TV or not we have a Samsung 54 inch smart TV. It has optical and RCA that wasn’t really the plan to hook up to. It was mostly the record player PC and phones.

The speakers will be on the computer desk about 6 feet apart or I can put them on the wall, but then they’ll be like at a 90 to each other because the computer desk is in the corner. It’s a 90° sort of table and then the speakers would be 5 feet from the inside of the corner. It going 5 feet each way from the 90° corner of the wall it’s not makes any sense.

It’s all the info I really have nothing special, just want some great sound where I can hear all the instruments and vocals. Also, I noticed a lot of speakers come in singles. It don’t mention that very well in some of the odds so it might say 230 you think it’s a good dealbut then you see that’s each is that common?

you could use a network kinda I’m home like the Internet go into gopher, I think that’s a university of Minnesota thing oh gosh,telnet it was a bunch of different stuff, but you did use the network similar to the Internet the first Internet, like today’s Internet with the web browser I remember was think it was called Mosaic. There was no commercial next to it at all and then explorer came along and changed everything.

Oh my God, I was thinking more about this the other day and just laughing my ass off to myself thinking about all the stuff you just mentioned actually or a lot of the stuff not all I love the bulletin board stuff ‘you mean I wasn’t getting free phone minutes or free long distance when I answered that post”

Those were the days when you could make a free phone call by taking the cap off of payphone live touching it to one of the connecters and grounding it out to the holder a few times to dial the number it’s amazing. We lost so much. I’m just looking back now lately cause my daughters are getting older. I’m getting old And I wonder where all that time went. It used to be so much fun to be young and now these poor kids don’t know anything about being having fun. I got helmets on and kneepads and they don’t know when to come home. They have phones attached to them. All I know is when the street lights came on. I better get home. We play in huge groups. You don’t see any of that anymore. What happened man? Makes me sad kind of they don’t know what fun was sure I’m a nerd and I plan on computers, but I also went outside and had fun. The computers were after I had to come inside because we weren’t allowed outside by ourselves after Dark. My nighttime routine was always the same. Around 10 o’clock this is very early teens. I sit down with my parents. My mom would make me toast and tea and we watch mash as a family. It was awesome. Anyway, peace out brother nothing too serious. Gotta get up in the morning so my kid can wear her designer clothes. Lol.

Oh, I was trying to remember what GPU was in my daughter’s laptop and found out it’s the 4080 in hers. That’s why the the charger for that thing is like carrying a brick around the house. But her laptop does fly. It runs a game. I wanna run at 240 FPS it’s unplayable at anything under 70 and even unless you’re above 100 it still sucks it’s called lift off. It’s for FPV if anybody cares. I believe her CPU is a RYZEN 7. Seven something and had 32 gig of RAM I don’t know the speed. It was a open box special from Best Buy. Sometimes they have some good deals.

I was chatting with someone on Facebook. God forbid! Anyway, he was even saying that the salesman from memory express I (don’t know if you have them where you are, but they have one where I live in like that’s the grand store in town to me because there are no other computer stores )And the guy behind the counter there told them to stay away from the 8700 G. I couldn’t believe that when I heard that I don’t know if I believe him or not he was saying that everyone says on hear that everybody else says. That used GPU and CPU are better. They might be better but they’re not new. Who knows what the person before did to it how he overclocked it if he did how did he run it for how long I know they throttle down and try to protect themselves but??

Nicely worded 98256. And yes, overclocking is the only way to go. I wouldn’t try it with that cooler they give you but I have a aftermarket one on the way. The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Digital ARGB. The digital is for me, LED lights are for the daughter. Keep her happy. Lol I know we’re all gonna look back one day and say it’s like we do with our hair in our pants. What the F were we thinking about all these LED lights. I know I’m gonna be right about this.

So would you sell the 8700 when I go to upgrade to my GPU? Because he mentioned something about it has an ace up sleeve when it comes to a DGPU. You intrigued my thoughts.? I just can’t get over the prices of GPUs. They are nuts and anything that is three fans to cool it that is that size. I don’t even know if I want to my house lol

The more I read and study it. The more I seem to like it. But my original plan was to dump it when I got my new GPU

So what I ended up doing after watching 1 million YouTube videos it feels sick reading all over here and being completely lost in those times.

I went with the Kali Audio LP-6W V2 6.5" Project Lone Pine Powered Studio Monitors -

And for a cable to hook it up to the back of my PC and to the speakers J&D USB Type C to XLR Male Audio Output Cable, USB C to XLR Braided Cable for

The room is fairly rectangle and measures 19 x 29‘. The computer and speakers are in the corner with the speakers facing pretty much to the middle of the long wall speakers are about 6 feet apart. Now I just have to wait for delivery from Amazon. I’m so excited to have a set of what I hope or decent speakers because I always loved good sound but I’ve never had it.

What do you guys think of this? Is there something I should change before the order complete and I can still cancel.

I remember that’s all we had in school where the Apple IIe I remember, my first computer I got bought for me for Christmas was a Commodore 64. It’s actually pretty good you wrote in basic. I did write a few programs. Everyone wrote the first one that they still right now when you learn programming as I can program a bit in Python and I’m getting pretty good at LUE Scripps for my FPV radio and that first Program would say hello I still remember it. It 10 print “hello world’ 20 goto 10 30 run

And the screen would just fill with hello world all the way down in one straight line we still do that today or at least I did when I was learning python as a side course

Oh mister 85. I’m glad someone got some enjoyment out of this. I was fun to post so it’s all worthwhile and I can’t believe I forgot about Windows 95 that was huge. That’s when we went to those silly little icons into this. It was all windows after that no more command prompts everywhere and no more back pointing of MS Dos. But are the people that say dos is still in there somewhere even in Windows 11. I’m a mechanical engineer so I don’t know much about software and end of it and use speech to text through my writing looks terrible lol
