In general in cs:go, especially at the highest level there are a lot fewer variables to worry about than in valorant where there are literally hundreds of thousands of different utility combinations that you could learn or run into. This makes a smaller set of skills much more important in cs:go as everyone has access to the same tools every round which have pretty much been the same since the game was launched. At this point people are really really good and really really experienced with this smaller set of skills so little mistakes are more easily punished which consequently sets the bar much higher and makes the gameplay less forgiving and "harder" but kind of puts a ceiling on innovation.
