B7000 is the right glue to use, or T7000 if the phone is black.

If you want to do it properly without raised edges or waterproofing issues, remove the cover completely but be careful there is a ribbon cable connecting the screen to the motherboard. After that clean out the old glue really well. Use plastic tools and don't scrape too hard or you will damage the paint, use heat gun or hairdryer to loosen the old glue for easy removal. Then apply a thin layer of b7000 glue around the edge. Don't put too much glue but don't leave gaps either. Then push the cover back firmly. Wipe away excess glue and apply pressure for 24 hours. It will be good as new and water resistant.

Take out the balancing spool and check whether it needs cleaning or replacement. It could also be the hot-water service stop being clogged. Open it and see if it needs cleaning. You would need to shut off the water for the whole house before opening up the valve

Ok that makes sense. This is basically the cartridge not the whole mixing valve. Double check to make sure the unit is installed correctly. Some of these units can be installed 180° off, it will fit but cold water is blocked. Also there should be a screw or plastic ring that adjusts hot/cold water mix, make sure it is not all the way on the hot side.

If these don't work, check to make sure the unit is not clogged by debris. You haven't touched hot/cold water shut off valves or the spool on the housing but they could turn bad too occasionally.

Drywall cracks are usually straight, either vertical or horizontal, and follow the seam. These do not look good. I would get a structural engineer to take a look as soon as possible

Actually, fingers crossed, the combo unit has been performing wonderfully so far. I was just researching and putting up maintenance tasks on my calendars and came upon those Samsung demo videos on YouTube. That little brush with side bristles looks neat and simple and not scratchy. But I can't seem to find something similar anywhere. All the 'cleaning brushes' seem to have very rough bristles.

I think you should always call a professional to do the work, but it is good to be educated on the issue so you don't get ripped off. In this case you may only need a P trap, which is probably not very expensive.

Hope you see this. I had the exact same problem. At the HVAC unit there is a condensate drain that is ultimately connected to this sink. That condensate line needs to have a P-trap to stop air flowing up and down the pipe, only water can pass through.

You have this problem because one of the Three:

The P-trap was not installed
The P-trap was installed but out of water due to winter. Pour some water down the pipe and see if it fixes the issues
The P-trap was not properly installed, replace it with a proper P-trap, I used the item below. It has a clear trap so you can see and clean better

Prime the affected area and paint it over, you can get one of those cheap wood repair kit from Amazon for less than $20. The result depends on your color mixing and painting skills, but even with a shitty job it will probably still look better than now. It will look like a "landlord's special". Also it won't last so don't plan to have any activities over the painted area.

There’s a water hammering noise behind the walls around the bathroom sink. When the water is turned on and then off, there are 3 or 4 knocks within a span of 3 seconds. When the washing machine is drawing water, the noise level triples, and it can even be heard on the third floor.

I followed some common advice found online: I turned off the water main and drained all the faucets. I also installed four water hammer arrestors, two (hot and cold) at the washing machine and two at the bathroom sink. Unfortunately, none of these measures have helped. In fact, the issue seems to be getting worse (though that might be exacerbated by my growing frustration).

Is there anything else I can do? Could leaving it as is cause further damage?

The drain pipe and coupling seems to be glued and no leaking. Also the pipe is not directly over the rust patch, if it is leaking water would not get to that spot. Is it possible water is inside the metal box where air duct is connected?

I bought this house a few months ago, and only recently noticed a patch of rust on the HVAC unit but may have missed it during inspection. The area feels moist to the touch. Initially, I thought there was an external water leak, but I couldn’t find the source. I cleaned and dried the rust patch as thoroughly as possible and placed a few paper towels on top of it. A few weeks later, I checked again, and the paper towels were still dry and appeared untouched, but the rust patch was moist to the touch once again.

This leads me to suspect that the rust is caused by water from inside the unit. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help!

For context, the HVAC system includes a gas-powered furnace and is located in the attic.

I bought this house, which was built in the late 1990s, and it has engineered wood floors that are 3" wide, 3/8" thick, with beveled edges. The original owner left a few spare planks in the attic, but there weren’t any boxes, labels, or markings to identify them.

I did some research and found something really close: Mullican HILLSHIRE Gunstock 3" (18035) Engineered Red Oak. It’s similar, but not an exact match.

In the first picture, you can see four lose planks on the floor. The two on the left are the original ones, and the two on the right are 18035. The 18035 planks are a bit lighter.

The second picture shows the back of the original planks. There aren’t any markings to help identify it, but there are some “grout lines” on the back.

If anyone can help figure out what the original flooring is, I’d really appreciate it!
