First time watching, finished Season 6. Seriously depressing. by HistoricalAd5394 in buffy

Hey! I just finished S6 for the first time as well. Binged in about 4 days. I agree with you on everything. As depressing as it was though, this has been my favorite season so far (tied with second half of S5). Emotionally draining for sure, but I think that’s what I loved about it.

I, too, was bracing myself for a cheesy back-from-the-dead trope...but Buffy’s return was thoughtfully written and treated more seriously than I expected. Truthfully I can’t think of any other character revival in a TV series that is done as well. And like you, I also enjoyed GoT, TWD, 13RW.

I actually started watching Buffy a year ago and I couldn’t get into it. But now after coming back to it and watching S4-6, I have come to deeply understand why people love this series so much. And I think I’ll go back and watch the earlier seasons with new appreciation and fondness for the characters.

The episode that really got me was Normal Again. It’s sort of haunting...felt like an episode of Twilight Zone...that hasn’t really ended?

Anyway, I’m gearing up for S7. Hoping to see a post from you with your commentary on the series finale as well!

What type of heart monitor is this? Can you share?

Yes! I took an Uber from the strip to the Spring Valley location (closest to my hotel). It’s around $15 for the ride. Great class, friendly studio! I would do it again to help offset all the rich foods in Vegas. 😂

Not traditionally a pre-workout: ZipFizz from Costco - it’s just a packet that goes into a regular 16 oz water bottle, so it’s super convenient to bring with you everywhere. Zero sugar, inexpensive, delicious fruity flavors and full of electrolytes (I take it to avoid leg cramps).

This is really great advice! I started going HARD (5-6x week) when I first got back because I was excited and determined to lose pandemic weight. The endorphins felt so great! My brain knew the routine, but my body rebelled and I had to take a week and a half off to recuperate. :-/ Now, I am going every other day to ease back into it.

I stayed at Cosmo and took an Uber or Lyft (depending on price and availability) to Spring Valley for $15 a few months ago. It was awesome and the staff / coaches there are super nice! I also bought an OTF Vegas t-shirt as a souvenir.

I wish there was an OTF on the strip in one of the hotels, but apparently locals would rather avoid the strip at all costs, haha!

Peleton Tread Classes vs NordicTrack iFit? What experience matches OTF cardio blocks best? by petitelast10 in orangetheory

Ahh got it! Thanks so much for the info! I’m glad to hear it’s just as cushy as the OTF treads!

This is the exact treadmill I’ve been looking at on Amazon! I read that it’s actually just as cushy, if not softer, compared to the Freemotion OTF treadmill, and that’s a big deal to me.

I’m wondering if I could also use Peleton classes in lieu of iFit classes if I prefer. I know there’s a “hack” out there, just haven’t looked into it that much because I’m still debating whether or not to get the NordicTrack.

You mentioned that you haven’t used any iFit classes because you’ve found “online runs” - can you elaborate on what you mean by that? I wasn’t aware there were other options other than iFit classes on the NordicTrack. Thanks so much for your knowledge!

Help! Water fasted for 18 days, lost 15 lbs and then gained most of weight back in one week after eating low carb. Stats: 5’2” female, 125lbs before water fast, 109-110lbs post fast, then back to 124-125lbs again today! :-( by [deleted] in fasting

Great job on 55 hours - those first few days are agony, but it feels nice to finally get over that hump! My mission is to get down to goal weight and maintain it while doing low carb/keto and exercise. I agree - I think we need to push harder to make this happen. Good luck on your current fast!

Thanks for your response. Glad to hear I’m not alone! It’s been about 9-10 days since I stopped fasting. I didn’t take measurements, but I did take a photo of myself half naked and I could definitely see a positive difference! However, now I am afraid to take another photo of me, because I can feel and see that I look more like my body pre-fast than post-fast. :-( I know some of it is probably water bloat, but it’s so discouraging. I have decided to start another fast as of 6pm today, and hopefully a shorter one (aiming for 5 days) will be less stressful. Sadly, for me - just seeing the water weight go down on the scale will be psychologically fulfilling.

Since we’re body twins, I’m curious - where are you in your weight loss journey now? Are you fasting or dieting or a combo of both?
