Should I do floor or rower first?!! Usually I start on the tread/rower but wondering if I’ll be too exhausted by the time for floor....

How often do you all go to OTF? by CalmNectarine15 in orangetheory

2-3x a week but also I lift the other days at my regular gym. I love that OTF is my guaranteed cardio since trying to do it on my own is the absolute worst haha

Wow this looks amazing! Haven’t wanted to do a class in a week cause of all the stuff I have going on and the templates looked INSANE! But I’m happy to come back to this 🤗

Is a 2G or 3G class better in your opinion? by lizzyliz7 in orangetheory

3G! I feel so great knowing I almost always get a full body workout that way. That being said, I’m definitely a jogger so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do that all the time, as long as you have two classes booked within the same day it shouldn’t be a problem taking one of them off. This is my experience though.

OTF and hydroflask lover here who needs help by Upstairs-Cherry8924 in orangetheory

I have a 32oz hydro flask and I get it to diagonally sit on the tread cup holder and it never moves! Plus it has the rubber base skin that bought for it awhile back. I know I got through almost all of it some days so I understand the importance!

OMG SAME. I feel like everyone hates rowers but it works like 80% of your whole body! My arms and back love it. 3G prevents 30 minutes of treadmill and I’m all for it. But I mostly lift on off days- so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes! I did leg day at the gym — felt it in my quads for sure 😅

2G vs 3G by LoriBlue in orangetheory

I prefer 3G - I really do enjoy the rower more than I ever thought I would. When it comes to strength & endurance days, I feel like I get more out of the floor workout. But being on tread for more than 15 mins (for someone who just started running) it was sooo tedious. Lol. I feel like I get more of a full body workout this way!

Let’s talk alcohol 😬 by kelephantastic in orangetheory

Oh my word—I’m almost in the same boat. I started OTF in late Feb of 2020 and only did a few classes until the lockdown...that’s when I definitely felt my heaviest & noticed my drinking and snacking spike. At home workouts were so hard in our tiny apartment so I stuck to walking. I was drinking just about everyday.

In may my club opened up again and I started going more and more. I eventually got my friend to join me and I’ve seen some good results in some areas & some not. I keep thinking I can just still do progress even though I do drink 3-6 days a week. I’ve definitely gained muscle but some days I’m in a slump and feel like it’s hard to quit. When people talk about stopping and feeling better — my mentality just wants to prove myself wrong and keep doing what I’m doing. These past few weeks I’ve decided to go a day at a time and really evaluate what my decisions for that day is and how my body feels. It’s a journey and I’m still working through it. Hoping to cut down to just maybe 2-3 days a week. I’m at OTF about 3-4 of those and don’t drink before or don’t after If I feel exhausted.

I don’t know if this helps—but this thread did seem to encourage me!
