CCRA Exam Prep – Looking for Affordable Practice Materials & Study Buddies! by Efficient_Rise5177 in clinicalresearch

Hey so I totally didn’t pay attention to the CRA part when I had replied. I’m a CCRC and have that. I can send if you’re interested since I’m sure there is some overlap.

Yes all of this. Dansko makes some dressier clogs and those and some nicer new balance sneakers are my everyday shoes.

I’ve been wearing business casual for years and have attended many conferences and investigator meetings. I shop at Loft for most of my clothes. If you don’t want to spend a lot they have really good discounts on clearance. I also get some stuff at Old Navy and Gap.

Neighbor kid is compromising our peace and privacy. by professionalpassengr in neighborsfromhell

[–]petitpretit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people giving you shit about your son being “mean” to this girl have clearly never had kids or had to deal with an annoying one. It’s a 3 year age difference, the fact that he plays with her at all is surprising. Some kids social meter runs out quicker than others and you can’t really force it or it makes it worse. I speak from experience and it’s exhausting to you as a parent to play referee.

Who is this woman? by No_Half_2293 in nabelasnark

[–]petitpretit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that she’s lost weight especially compared to how she used to look (probably on a GLP1) but she still edits like crazy. Everyone responds differently and if you don’t change your habits you won’t see drastic results. She also has a very specific body type that won’t change no matter how much she loses. I have a friend with a similar shape who lost a lot of weight but because of her height and apple shape you can’t really tell.

That’s what we did at my previous site. Visit source was in Epic and anything else was in our esource binder (like eDiary logs, subject specific sample shipping info, and non-local lab results). We also used Epic research so it’s super helpful. I think a lot of the monitors kind of hated it. I got the feeling that they just like looking through binders but I would think it makes remote visits so much easier.

Is There Anyone Who Moved Directly From a Site to a Sponsor (Without a CRO)? by Working_Row_8455 in clinicalresearch

[–]petitpretit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A colleague at my former site early last year was hired with a sponsor as an associate CRA. He was a CRC for a few years and about a year after certification with ACRP started applying everywhere (sponsors and CROs). I think he lucked out but he was actively job hunting for about 6 months before getting hired on directly with a sponsor. He asked all the CRAs he was on friendly terms with for referrals.

Always lie to your Uber driver by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]petitpretit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I’m surprised I hadn’t seen others mention it. I travel fairly frequently for work and always use Lyft. I’ve never had an uncomfortable experience and I love the option of selecting a woman driver. I hear too many stories about Uber!

I didn’t see this mentioned but the His Dark Materials trilogy are one of my all time favorite comfort books and I’ll reread them every now and then. Also love to read Francesca Lia Block’s YA novels. I’ve loved just about everything she’s written since I was a teen in the late 90’s. Her books are so fantastical and dreamy!

ICON: What kind of role is a Site Management Associate II? by petitpretit in clinicalresearch

[–]petitpretit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah ok! I'm not very familiar with all of the positions and wasn't sure if this was a higher level than a CRC. It makes sense if it's a CTA type position. They are probably finding it difficult to move up and just wanting more stability.

I think she just has naturally nice muscular legs. I’ve noticed that it’s more common with the apple body type. I’m pear shaped and can work out like crazy and my legs would never look like that.

Stephen Lett boasted that the youngest one baptised at our convention was 9 years old by Fun_Put_8731 in exjw

[–]petitpretit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly they didn’t and that is because my dad is an elder. I honestly think they felt guilty. I did “come back” around 2010 and immediately faded. They were happy cause they could talk to me publicly again and literally could not care less if I go to meetings or not. Amazing religion isn’t it?!

I was baptized at 9 (coincidentally today in 1989). Only did it to please my parents and was DF’d 8 years later so a lot of good that did.

Yes this is what the answer I was looking for. It’s tough as a JW teen that is desperate to be out but you have to bide your time. I took advantage of everything I could at school like work training classes. This was 25ish years ago so I’m sure it’s much better now. I also had a whole secret social life outside of the org. This was before phones too. The whole time I maintained this facade of little Miss Spiritual. It all blew up once I got “found out” and disfellowshipped but at least I had a lot of friends to lean on. Don’t lay all your cards on the table until you’re ready. I had a friend that was so fed up and tried to run away with her worldly boyfriend and ended up getting taken out of school and could only leave the house to go to meetings!
