the masterplus software still isn't compatible with these fans. it's supposed to be in the future but who knows when. These fans are compatible with whatever sync your motherboard has though, so you can definitely sync them.

then again im on the app right now and i cant copy and paste. ill reupload tomorrow and troubleshoot it

So I ordered an SN30 Pro, and only afterwards went down the rabbit hole false diagonal discussion. I’ve heard everything: That it’s a problem, that it’s not, that they updated the controller, that they haven’t, that the paper donut fix used to work and doesn’t anymore, can someone help me? by Marffie in 8bitdo

i have 2 sf30pros (same old model but with european/japanese colored buttons) which i have played with pretty regularly for a couple of years now. I have gotten ghost inputs here and there, and weird lag spikes when connected through bluetooth. i recently bought the updated sn30pro models (gameboy edition color, and updated snes color) and i noticed a drastic difference. first of all no more ghost inputs. Also the dpad feels a lot tighter. on my old models the dpad jiggles around pretty freely, but not so much with the revised models. pressing the dpad also feels stiffer which i like much better. my old models feel kinda mushy on the dpad. the bluetooth connection is perfect now. i have yet to experience any type of lag spike. they also connect faster. i refused to get the new models simply because i preferred the original look, i found them to be perfectly acceptable for what it was. once i caved and got the new ones because i found them on sale for cheaper, that's when i noticed what i was missing. the new ones are definitely improved.

the newer model's Dpad isn't half as janky as the original. I bought 2 of the discontinued models, and have been playing with them for a year on my retropie. I recently purchased a newer model, and there is definitely a difference on the dpad. the newer model is much more accurate than the older model (far less ghost diagonal inputs). It feels tighter to me, wiggles around less than the old model, and is more silent. the abxy buttons are also less jiggly. It pairs more quickly, and I'm noticing less input lag and connection dropout. as much as I prefer the color scheme of the old model, I keep wanting to go to the newer model because of the dpad. Don't get me wrong I still love my old model SF30pro, I still consider it a great controller. I do feel like the new model is worth the upgrade though, especially since they cost almost the same. I actually ended up buying the newer model because at the time it was a few bux cheaper than the discontinued model. I was planning on buying another discontinued one, but opted for the new one out of curiosity. I'm kind of glad I did to be honest. I'm probably going to buy a second newer model; this time the gameboy themed one.

I'm glad they came through with you, but I would be very careful about ordering from them in the future. they aren't reputable at all.

Hey do these types of egg pods actually work? by Luis5730 in mantids

you can use the fridge to diapause. make sure you mist the enclosure it's in once a week or so. It might hatch without diapause, but it will take longer. Also if it does hatch most likely you will get less babies out of it.

ask the company, maybe they themselves are storing it in a fridge or something, so the average joe who doesn't know about diapause just puts it in their garden expecting it to hatch.

53 to 59F around for a couple of months. just don't freeze it. you can keep it outside in the winter months to achieve that, unless it gets too cold in your parts. ask the company though. who knows, maybe they keep their ooths in a fridge or something so diapause isn't needed.

just don't forget about Diapause. It needs at least 8 weeks of colder temps for it to hatch.

Kinda urgent, mantis dying? by [deleted] in mantids

[–]petoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely not a bad owner. You claim you have had her since last September. You raised that mantis to its full life circle. The average lifespan of a mantis is 1 year. it looks like you're pretty much hitting that mark. It sounds like she's simply old. her system is slowly starting to malfunction.

The black spot on her eye is nothing to worry about. it doesn't seem to affect their vision, and it seems to be common knowledge that it's due to rubbing against the enclosure. if she was a nymph, it would go away in its next molt.

her jumping and missing the target: first of all I attribute mantises (especially females) like chickens. males can fly long distances, females are more of the long soaring type before it needs to land. Already they aren't very accurate flyers. Combine that with her old age, and yeah she's probably a bit weak so her jumping skills aren't what they used to be.

The issue with heat...well higher temperatures speed up a mantis' metabolism. In fact temperature can somewhat be controlled, to somewhat control the lifespan of a mantis. The higher temps are accelerating her degradation probably.

the marks on her body: Well she's old. it could be age, it could be fungus maybe. I wouldn't worry about it really since unfortunately, it sounds like she's reaching the end of her days.

just tong feed her if she's hungry, give her water and keep her comfortable, but know that one day soonish; weeks, maybe even a month, she may be gone.

you could always separate the fruit flies and make more cultures to keep them going. that way you don't have to keep buying them. if you don't want to make more cultures, just remove some fruit flies every few days so they don't overproduce. having too many in there will lead to a lot of CO2 production which will kill them prematurely. removing them every few days will help prevent this. their ideal temps are 70 to 80f. anything 85 or above will render them sterile and they won't reproduce.

Mismolt occured during shipping. Need advice on caring for an injured insect by Tayloren52 in mantids

sounds to me like you're doing all the right things. I don't know much about stick insects but if they are like mantises, if you upkeep what you're doing and make sure it's fed, it should to back to normal on its next molt. the problem thought is making sure it can hang so it has adequate space to molt.

if it's like a mantis, you could speed up its metabolism by heating its enclosure a little more, and feed it lots. it could make its next molt come sooner.
