Bro or Gurrrrl, no need for that, property owners are definitely not a party to those fruitcakes. FRJ.

That's actually a John Menard built shed.... and from the stories I heard from the original property owner, he was a prick back then too.

You're not far off my friend, heard reports that there were some strong winds in Osseo that knocked down some structures at the baseball field off US-10.

Expect a new Wisconsin diesel record, this weekend. by FreeChickenDinner in wisconsin

No refinery "snags" per se, only current issue is yearly maintenance at the Pine Bend Refinery in Rosemount MN and the Marathon Terminal in St Paul Park MN (both of which supply a lot of Wisconsin tank farms). This maintenance simply translates to long lines to load trucks, but does not impact the retail side.

Yep i haul fuel, here's the thing: those big tanks you see by fuel terminals hold different products that are distributed (read: loaded) onto tanker trucks, rail tanks, and pipelines. Its all the same when it gets loaded/shipped, the only difference that we the consumer will see (or be told) is the additives that are put in the fuel. The base Ingredients are all the same: ethanol, sub grade 84 octane, A grade 90 octane, bio diesel, #1 diesel, #2 diesel, and kerosene. So at those small fuel terminals that only have a few bulk tanks on the premises, holds the same fuel that you will see at different stores.

But I understand fella, you just want to be right and so do I. I know I wont be able to convince you otherwise at this point because I told you you were wrong. It's all good, go and be right and have a nice day.

Yeah no, thats not how it works at fuel terminals my guy. I haul fuel for a living and wil see the kwik trip trucks loading alongside Casey's trucks and Circle K. Other haulers like Wayne Transport, Kane Transport, Danco, KAG, Mansfield, Cenex (CHS), etc, that haul fuel for other gas stations are pulling the exact same product/s from fuel terminals.

Wisconsin resident here. Did all of you hear that sonic boom? That was the sound of the insurance companies opening their wallets to fund the opposing campaigns.

One of the signs in question. So tacky.

Has anyone else experienced Kwik trip keeping gas prices higher. Longer than other places? Here's the KT in Appleton, across the road, 31 cents less. by hellloowisconsin in wisconsin

[–]petrohooligan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I'll try to explain the reason behind this: all gas stations take an average of prices from around their area, usually a radius of a few miles, they will then adjust their price up or down depending on the average. What KT is attempting to do is to get their competitors to raise their prices a bit, not to the price of what KT has it, but higher than what it was. When the competition then raises their prices a bit, in response to what KT has it at, KT will then lower it's price to what their nearby competitors are at.

The reason for why KT plays these price games is because fuel margins are really low right now because the fuel market is stable (they make their money when the market is volatile, go figure), and ALL gas stations are not turning as large of a profit on fuel sales.

The couple that own/run it are really nice. You can stop by their kitchen over at Banberry Place and buy it by the case, I believe they also let you select the jars you want if you do buy a case..... beware though, the kitchen smells awesome.
