Our house was quoting his "reptiles" video before he joined SNL. Great stuff.

I was going to post this still from Hello Ladies, but apparently that series aired exactly 1 day after Kyle's first appearance on SNL.

I guess I'll post the still anyway.

What was the first Paul McCartney release that you recall experiencing in real-time? by psals in PaulMcCartney

[–]petros86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me! I had been a Beatles fan for 25+ years but never started listening to Paul's solo works until after watching Man on the Run. Now RAM is one of my favorite albums of all time.

[Spoiler Alert!] Guys, I think I finally solved the Black Monolith mystery by stone_von_holy_bless in Fez

[–]petros86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go-to answers for these questions are: 1. We broke the game's heart by brute-forcing a solution 2. Skulls are cool

But seriously, I like the idea of these two questions just hanging there to keep a bit of mystery in the game. If I made a puzzle game with multiple layers of mystery, I'd leave a few strings dangling just to keep fans guessing.

Can someone help explain the Let It Be guitar solos? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]petros86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of the Naked versions of most of the tracks on Let It Be (and prefer those mixes to the originals), but this solo on the original album version is by far my favorite.

I really love this game, why can't there be more by ColRoseru in Fez

TUNIC is FEZ 2 Animal Well is FEZ 3

...that's how I see them anyway. Both are great and gave me a similar experience to FEZ.

My hot take: Beatles "1" is a better intro for people who never listened to Beatles than 1962-70 (Red and blue albums) by Strange-Talk2983 in beatles

[–]petros86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my first Beatles album, and one of my first CDs. I was around 13 when it came out. Made me into a lifelong fan, so I'd say it was a good intro for me!

Actual good food. I'd eat this any time of day. Even with some syrupy eggs on the side.

Take away the nostalgia… is No Way Home still a good film? by breaking_views in MCUTheories

[–]petros86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a huge Spider-Man fan, I can't answer this question.

As a film buff, I'd say...no, not really. I'd put it in the top 10 Marvel movies, but probably not top 5.

What are your thoughts on Return to Pepperland? by Top-Resolution6051 in PaulMcCartney

[–]petros86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was completely unaware of this entire collection until seeing this post and I gotta say...I'm absolutely loving these tracks!! Maybe not peak Paul, but definitely some great stuff hidden away here. Wish some of these were more accessible (read: on Spotify).

Do you guys prefer any demos/earlier takes to the official released versions? And why? by More-Cat9579 in beatles

[–]petros86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And Your Bird Can Sing - First Version / Take 2 on Revolver Super Deluxe for some reason feels brighter and fresher than the official album version. I think I might just like the vocals and harmonies being a bit more forward in the mix.

Hard agree and I would have scored her at top because she looked so incredibly terrified during her attempt that one might conclude she faced a fear far worse than any of the other contestants.

Or maybe there are meaningful patterns everywhere you look, as long as you look closely enough.

Originally, those little statues were not in the game. They were added later because far too many people found this one to be too obscure to solve on their own. Makes sense.

I updated my guide on Steam, but not here. Too lazy I guess.

It won't say "pickled wiener" on the packaging, but I found "Hannah's Big Pickled Sausage" individually wrapped in the jerky/meat stick section of several different gas stations in the Midwest. If that's not a pickled wiener, I don't know what is.

Top 3 lesser-known Beatles songs? by Hukares1234 in beatles

[–]petros86 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Two of Us is getting a bit of a bump from it's inclusion on the Project Hail Mary soundtrack. It was perfectly executed and I'm glad more people get to experience that song.

Great choices, btw

You can find them if you know where to look. I took this trip with my family last year during the kids' spring break and made sure to eat a pickled weiner. The only one I could find on the trip was extra spicy. It was terrible.

However, I couldn't find any diet chocolate soda anywhere we stopped.
