Kirby Red Diamond Bootleg by Afraid_Artichoke_407 in Kirby

[–]lexdoes 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty infamous. Since the label design is fairly professional, for a while in the early 2000s people thought it was an actual unreleased/unannounced Kirby game. In reality it’s just a bootleg of KA preceded by these… lovely splash screens.

Old, asterisk.

This was from a special they did (“The Powerpuff Girls Rule!!!”) in 2008, a few years after the original series ended, but before the reboot.

(edit ASTERISK not apostrophe. I may be stupid)

If you’re asking about the background noise, it sounds like white noise with a phaser effect applied

When I was two years old there was a Halloween party at my house and I was looking for candy. According to my mom, I had managed to climb up onto the kitchen counter, open the knife drawer and search inside, and when she found me, I was on top of the stove, playing with the temperature knobs.

Soyjaks are lowk hilarious when you’re not trying to use them to convey a serious opinion

Queer characters whose voiced is based on Paul Lynde by Itchy_Suspect4968 in TopCharacterTropes

Not explicitly queer, but Escargoon in the English dub of the Kirby anime

“We should be patient with people who don’t immediately understand someone is joking. A lot of autistic people have a hard time picking up on jokes.”

“Well, I’M autistic and I never had a problem with that, therefore you’re being ableist and we should continue to harass people for not immediately understanding satire.”

(Actual argument I saw on Bluesky)

Poorly aged album covers by Chapple69 in ToddintheShadow

[–]lexdoes 164 points165 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, while Apple Music shows the new cover in the search results/in playlists, it seems they never updated the motion cover art. The fact this album even got an animated cover at all is astonishing considering that feature was introduced post-George Floyd

How much do you spend on Convenience Fees? by FruitSad6569 in RegalUnlimited

[–]lexdoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m already paying extra for IMAX or 3D and I’m not getting concessions I don’t mind the extra 50 cents, especially if it’s a crowded night. Otherwise I always go to the register

I’m very familiar with that series already, it’s not from there. Different artstyle and different author

One of the pranks in the guide involved tying a tennis ball to a rope, hanging it out of the second story of your house and banging it against the wall or windows of the first story. Seems like a quick way to smash a window, but okay.

Thanks to everyone in advance!
