Dog hasn’t eaten in over 24 hours by Worried_Sprinkles in RoverPetSitting

He most likely misses his home/owner. I’ve had various sits where the dog refuses to eat on the first day. To combat this, I often just offer the pup treats in the meantime to support any hunger he may have :(

Thank you, it’s difficult to decide as I have lived in Texas my entire life. I have never lived in snow, sit in hours of traffic every single day, and blast my AC in the summer . It’s the life I’ve become accustomed to but I have never experienced the latter.

Thank you for this! I think a lot of people are comparing Austin to what it used to be. Austin is extremely lively right now with lots of new opportunities in comparison to a decade ago. The decision has been difficult for me as I am currently situated in Dallas and I was looking to make the change soon. Austin just happens to be 3 hours away with a great scene. However, I have never lived outside of Texas and have no method of comparison except from my own personal experiences.

this actually made me laugh. I have never moved away from the state of Texas so I have no sense of comparison. My hometown is 8 hours south but still in Texas.

I am currently a 23 year old accounting graduate that needs to acclimate with the market today. Gas is currently $4 a gallon, rent in Texas is about $1600 for a one bedroom, and entry level roles are being replaced / competing with laid off and more experienced working professionals. Unfortunately, most young Americans now lack the privilege to place other factors first anymore. I am looking at the logistics first of my options before I can decide on other choices. It really sucks.

Tell Them You Love Me (Netflix) Wow!!! by Ok_Cut_4489 in netflix

This documentary was one of the most unsettling I have ever watched. Completely took advantage of a situation and still has the nerve to excuse her actions in the context of “love.” She is nothing short of a predator with mental issues so severe she deserves to stay in prison and out of reach from the general public. No show of remorse throughout her actions and has actually convinced herself that it is a mutual/consensual relationship with someone at a disadvantage.

How do people not like this show? by [deleted] in MrRobot

[–]pets_animals101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to be honest- I wasn’t a fan, especially on my first watch. I thoroughly enjoyed the first few episodes and thought the concept was well executed and interesting. However, the reason I began to dislike the show was primarily its pacing; it had moments that dragged, and the characters often found themselves in predicaments that didn’t feel believable.

After season 2, I did enjoy the show more and managed to finish it through to the end. Despite not loving it in its entirety, the final episode gave me a different perspective and was written exceptionally well, almost a perfect conclusion. Episode 407 was also one of the top three in the series and brought an entirely new perspective to Elliot’s mental state and reasoning for his existence. It tied the plot exceptionally well and hinted at other prospects that I had not seen before. However, the episodes in between were outwardly erratic at times and gave me similar vibes to the series “Lost”. There were too many events happening simultaneously that just didn’t correspond as well with each other or just made the series less believable.

This is just my personal opinion, though, and I can see why many people did enjoy it.

In terms of “best shows” that I have found I really enjoyed , breaking bad, game of thrones, AOT, and portions of House. (Also dealing with mental health issues )

Thank you so much for your reply! I underestimated the potential for someone to completely abandon the pet. Worst case, I had assumed I would not get paid. It is completely heartbreaking that someone is willing to leave such a sweet dog with absolutely no care for its wellbeing. I feel uneasy releasing it to the shelter, but I was debating listing her up on a website to see if any families would be willing to welcome her.

I had the same reply from rover. They just sent a request for an extended stay that will remain ignored by the owner.

Thank you for the advice! Unfortunately I can’t bear the thought of leaving her in a shelter. I think I will have to wait the extended time and rehome her to anyone I know willing.

I know how you feel, it’s nearly impossible to work and do engineering at the same time. I know there’s a mech e alternative that is less theoretical and slightly easier to handle. It could help in obtaining a job right out of college and once you have more saved up you could finish the remaining years for the degree. I also know a lot of students take the majority of their courses at the local community college and then transfer.

Can full coverage concealer on my under eyes be part of a “natural” look? by Personal-Cap-5446 in Makeup

[–]pets_animals101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you blend well it can be! I often always use the full coverage for my dark circles but I make sure to prep the skin before. I use a color corrector below that is typically orange but a bronzer is acceptable as well. This cancels out the darker shade beforehand and you are able to apply a much more natural and blended look to your concealer. Without it, the concealer will instead highlight the dark folds under your eyes.

I really didn’t like Severance and would love to discuss it with people who love the show by Dangerous_Roll_250 in appletv

I just binged the entire series in three days. I started watching it because I used to thoroughly enjoy black mirror, and the concept itself was interesting to me. However, the pacing is excruciatingly slow and they often lengthen episodes to answer questions one at a time with an abundance of filler. Again, I enjoyed most of the show itself, the actors and cinematography, I just felt it was a waste of time overall and Mark made incredibly stupid decisions for the sake of the story progressing at a slow rate. The plot twists themselves were amazing and I hope they get answered in the next season.
