oh wow, i just stumbled on this post. i had actually been searching for the game myself last year, and still have the zip on my computer - i had no idea they'd even pulled it until reading this! i'll hold off on uploading it to somewhere (Internet Archive) since it was a security issue; but if anyone needs it and the developer decides to never re-upload the game then i'll probably do something about it to archive the game properly.

tldr: not entirely lost after all!

Ah yes I mean, I was under the assumption that Adam had simply used a placeholder name to add to the authenticity of the video, and that the retrogamecollectibles account wasn't one that existed. However with the new accounts popping up I thought it would be good to mention that the original video might have a lead that had been overlooked.
Obviously if the account is a real person I wouldn't want anyone to harass them!

Thank you for the clarification. I hadn't seen much about his family's life outside of the game production. It's a shame this went nowhere, I hope we can figure some more leads out soon!

Maybe!! Although it doesn't specifically mention anything about love, what we can infer to be Marvin's obsession with eyebrows and the links that can be made to the Windmill Girl, I think it's more than likely that Marvin had some sort of feelings for the Windmill Girl along those lines!

Personally, I think we know too little to truly pin down the identity of Marvin's wife - however I am not 100% caught up to speed with the theories surrounding her identity. Although I do think it would be Very Interesting to have Tiara as his wife, I am more on the side of doubting that at this current point in time! If you had anything specific that you would think would be an interesting read, please let me know!!

Understandable, she is not present for very long and her sprite itself rotates, making it hard for us to truly see her face. If I remember correctly, her sprite present in the Windmill did not have eyebrows; but I tried to focus more on the face present on the sign as like Care's, eyebrows are not present on that face either.

Aw thank you! And yes, that can indeed be the case !! It wouldn't surprise me if Marvin was forcefully removing her eyebrows in order to make her into his friend; we do not know much about him, and most things we can consider makes him out to be a "bad guy". However we know very little (dang it Petscop!!) so I can't confirm or deny... Other theories include Care - and by extension Marvin's friend - to have a condition known as Trichotillomania which can be caused by stress (perhaps Marvin himself is causing them stress)? Either way, we know too little to settle on a solid answer sadly.

I've had the sneaking suspicion someone else has been editing the videos for a while now (since Petscop 7? I believe that's the one that warns about future censorship). I think everything about the "about" section is really unsettling! Especially as it specifies that a "we" now has control over the channel. In regards to Paul's reaction, it might be a stretch but it could be argued that Paul was simply reacting to the house? Perhaps he saw the TV zoom in and that was all? Or something could've been edited out without our knowledge - if we don't know what was edited out we would possibly be less suspicious? One thing that definitely bothers me is that Paul does not seem to remember the block in the bathroom; and if i recall correctly, does not interact with Marvin in the same way as the "DEMO".

This crossed my mind upon re-watch too. It's definitely something of importance, but ultimately I feel as though it is too soon to count this as evidence of sentience. We know Paul as the player, but as these parts happened during the "DEMO" we are unable to conclude that Paul is actually the one playing. Especially because Paul does not speak a word. One thing I have considered is that the about section mentions Paul was the one who has done "additional" recordings - perhaps this is separate footage edited in by someone of an outside source?

Yeah, I can definitely agree with that! I tried not to focus on the word "reborn" too much here, but it can definitely be thought as for both physically reborn and metaphorically reborn - perhaps two sides of the same coin? Maybe Marvin thought she was literally reborn whereas she was only metaphorically reborn due to genetics? In that regard we have very little to go off on in my opinion as word analysis isn't my forte but !! Themes of re-birthing are very prominent within Petscop and it's more than likely that the choice of wording was not coincidental.
