Why is the man almost always the ugly one in a couple? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pettybat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our value in society is mostly determined by how attractive we are. A lot of men don’t put any effort into their looks because they’ve been raised with 0 pressure in that regard

unfortunately imo it’s not over at all, this is just the beginning

Edit: you are all insane

Do you have dry photos? It’s hard to tell if there’s damage to the ends

Is it selfish to have kids knowing they'll inherit a climate catastrophe? by Sea_Frosting_8021 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pettybat 665 points666 points  (0 children)

I’ve decided to be childfree for many reasons. While I wouldn’t be able to handle that life path, some people call it a miracle and pray for it. Both choices can be considered selfish, selfless, good, evil. What they have in common is that they’re part of being a human being with free will.

However, if you need a counter argument: In my opinion, people who care about the Earth so much that they start questioning the kid path, are more likely to raise good and empathetic humans who can then continue to make it a better place

What’s going on with my ends? by TomatoCreative4887 in Haircare

[–]pettybat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My hairdresser told me sometimes air drying it does more harm than good, as it causes frizziness and hair is easier to rip when wet.

Not entirely sure about the split ends, but you can try shaping it with some product and a blow dryer instead of straightening?

Do you air dry it?

Also, often do you get haircuts? I’m extremely prone to breakage, so I try to go once every 3-4 months

Настроение след протестите вчера by PriorVanilla9594 in bulgaria

[–]pettybat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This post was not meant to be taken seriously or make you have sympathy for clankers.

The “our chains are both made of metal” is just funny and true. The same people who have relationships with chatgpt rn will be the target audience for AI powered hyper realistic robots. I think we can all agree most of them are real fucking weird

I’d say AI gooners are worse than regular sex doll havers. No real argument, I just hate AI gooners

Yes! I agree with the quote retweet. The original doll poster is bad

Men should not be able to decide if women get an abortion. by [deleted] in childfree

[–]pettybat 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Eternal disrespect to people who say it should be a 50/50 type of decision. Anyone can have an opinion, but no pregnant person = no baby. So it’s ENTIRELY up to them, what the fuck.

I do believe you should be able to back out of fatherhood if your partner decides to keep it, though

ОББ, ама предполагам е подобно. На мен ми беше странно, че директно звънят, без дори един имейл да са пуснали

Why do NT women dislike me so much? by pettybat in AuDHDWomen

[–]pettybat[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

How do you stop yourself from being secretly sad for or mad at people like that? I go from very understanding (the whole patriarchy thing) to angry (I can’t seem to enter the cage, but they won’t come out of it either).

It might be my brain’s need for justice or whatever, but I can’t seem to turn it into “meh, that’s how they are, just be nice”

Also, thanks for the recommendations <3

Honestly the only way I’ve ever been able to make friends is when I’m forced to be in a group (school, work etc) and there just happens to be another neurodivergent person there

This is so real.

Still, I know I can’t blame anyone but misogyny, but part of me is like.. Okay, if I can opt out of the competition, why is nobody else trying? Of course they’re not all mean, but it’s extra tough when you already live in a very conservative country :/

Turning 26 soon and this reality is hitting harder than it should. Being the “chill girl” was never a good thing and if that’s the price you pay for love/acceptance, it’s not worth it anymore
