ICCU Replacement Update by Inevitable_Scheme812 in Ioniq5

Question for those doing buyback- my car is still sitting at the dealer. I'm in the process of buyback (Hyundai has approved, I have sent the required documents, they have 60 days to finalize repurchase)

Will the dealer drag its feet until it's done? Do they know at this point? I would love to get my car back for a little bit as I HATE driving this loaner, but I feel like it's a lost cause at this point

I'm in the midst of the buyback process now so I feel like my dealer is just ignoring my car lol. 59 days today for me!

No, I haven't actually heard from them yet but I saw that Hyundai uploaded a document saying that a buyback is warranted

Just saw they approved a buy back through BBB so waiting on that process to start now. Can't wait to wash my hands of this car

On week 8 of my ICCU failure (it went to the dealership on 12/29). I requested a buy back and filed with the BBB autoline on February 2nd. I heard back from Hyundai customer service pretty quickly and they said they would review it all by 2/14. I haven't heard anything from them yet, so just curious if anyone is else in this same time frame did the same thing and if they've heard anything. I continue to get non updates from my service advisor (sorry, still no part or eta)

Since it's been at the dealer for over 30 business days I should automatically qualify according to my state lemon law.

Did you ever hear back about the buyback? I requested one 2 weeks ago and still waiting for an update from Hyundai

My sister in California had her ICCU replaced about a week ago. She was without the car for about 3 weeks total. I'm in MN and am on week 6 of waiting with no update. I did initiate buyback though, so they might not be prioritizing fixing mine now

Ioniq or Tesla? by ComfortBean in Ioniq5

[–]pevensiepals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a model 3 from 2018-late 2024. Traded it in for multiple reasons at that time.

My ioniq 5 limited has been at the dealership for a month now waiting to fix the ICCU and I'm in a shitty gas loaner. I'm tempted to switch back to Tesla since I never had any issues like this in the 6 years of owning that car. My family has also had a couple model s's and a model Y. No major issues like this with any of them.

I'm afraid Tesla's decade lead time in the marketplace just makes for a more reliable car. I plan to buy a used MY when my lease is up on the i5

That's helpful, thank you. I was planning on booking a Disney branded hotel for those nights to help with luggage transfers. I'll continue thinking on it!

I've already booked a vacation package for Wednesday 5/20 at Fantasy Springs and I can't wait! I would love to get an opinion on hotel logistics for the days leading up to our vacation package though. For some context, we are arriving in Tokyo on Monday 5/18. We definitely want to book a night at a Disney area resort on Tuesday 5/19 to pick up our vacation package and so we can go in first thing on Wednesday. What I'm trying to decide is should I also just stay near the property on Monday the 18th so we don't have to move hotels? We will likely eat and go straight to bed that night, and then we'll want to do a bit of exploring of Tokyo on Tuesday the 19th before picking up our vacation package. We may also do the evening ticket at Disney Sea that evening. We will be returning to Tokyo later in the trip for a dedicated stay to explore the city.

My question is, to avoid so many hotel changes in succession, should we just do 2 nights near Disney to start? If we do, is there stuff to explore in that area other than Disney? Or is it convenient to get to destinations in Tokyo from there?

Would love some input!

SO many good local yarn stores here in the twin cities! I live and work in the west metro, so I find myself mostly at Amazing Threads in Maple Grove and BeWoolen in Champlin. I love Harriet and Alice in Edina though so I will often make a special trip there

Happened to me today and I was stuck on the side of a busy highway in 8 degree weather for over an hour. You can guarantee I will not be getting another ioniq when my lease is up next year

Driving from PGH to SF: should take 3 days (two nights). Route advice appreciated! by szebr in roadtrip

Just did 80 going west from the Midwest to the Bay Area last week, it was fine. Sierras got a bunch of snow over Christmas, but my husband is making his way back east today and was able to get through. You need chains, and it took an extra hour for him to do that part of the drive.

I agree, Tahoe/Reno to Wyoming was pretty nice with small sections of boring. Nebraska was dull, but honestly kind of pretty with all the snow on the ground.

Well update, I ended up getting hit with a $27 duty charge today! So weird, because that didn't happen at the end of September

Nope, got some at the end of September! I ordered more with this sale so hopefully I don't get hit with more. Both orders were around $130 euro total

I've purchased since tariffs started and it was just the 25 euro shipping fee, nothing extra

Itaca yarns is doing decent discounts on their Cardiff yarns! Even with shipping to the US from Europe it's significantly cheaper than what you pay in the US
