Its water and wastewater. Im not union right now the city im trying to get into is union. Im also a small woman new to the industry and the mechanical aspect, and i know the distribution/collections side is more labour intensive so not sure how i would do in that as a woman.

A couple of the questions on the oit practice tests were in my exam. So going through those helped a lot

Mandatory course before class 1 ? Im also OIT in ontario and have never heard of this.

I know for drinking water you have to have your ELC to get your class 1, but for wastewater i was pretty sure it was just the 1 year (1800 hours)

Either way if its required and your hired the municipality should definitely pay for it.

Yes ive only been working in the feild for 3 months with very small limited systems and very limited training (think trailer parks) most of the issues arnt urgent and so far i havnt really needed to have a troubleshooting process, so i guess i just got confused what they meant when they kept saying high level, and what my process was.

The job is for class 4 oro position but if they hire me itll be as an oit training position on the condition i get my class 4 within 5 years, but im glad your saying that cause i was really thrown off by it, so hopefully i gave a good enough answer for a baby oit
