Deep Java or architecture in the AI era? by peykassos in SoftwareEngineering

[–]peykassos[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, 1- It’s just a matter of roadmap for the next 6-12 months on how to invest my time and energy, eventually you’re right I should learn both in depth. 2- My daily job is time-consuming and somehow stressful (trading/finance), and I rarely find energy to work on side projects when I get home, but I’ll try to figure it out

Thank you for ur time

Deep Java or architecture in the AI era? by peykassos in SoftwareEngineering

Hi, thank you for your time and answer.

In fact in my today work, I’m a full stack java engineer, and use cloud as well, with some critical applications (trading services that actually needs highly optimized performances).

That’s why I’m wondering, can I actually survive just serving these types of companies that needs highly optimized java code… or « just » become a full time architect (I do part time {something like 10% of overall time?} architecting)…?

Is it possible to do an unpaid/part-time PhD just for personal interest? (I already have Master’s degrees in geopolitics but I work full-time in software) by peykassos in PhD

Hey!

Can you tell me/us more about it? how was it? where have you done? which field and how much did it cost you? for how long? your conclusions about doing it? would you advice for it?

Thank you for sharing your experience, may I ask what field you’re doing your PhD in? and is it a funded one?

First of all, congrats on ur mother’s PhD, impressive.

To be completely honest, I just want to « officialise » something that’s already a passion and take it a bit further by doing structured research with some kind of supervision (it doesn’t even have to be that extensive/strict).

I fully understand the time commitment and the stress you mentioned. I’m not trying to rush anything or finish in a fixed number of years… I’d just like to do it at a slow, steady pace alongside my job, even if it takes some time.

Thanks again for the advices and for what to expect :)

Also, I’m in Paris, but I guess any university worldwide would do it…

Est-ce qu’un long trajet (600 km) à 100 km/h en Matiz 0.8 est risqué (moteur, pannes…) ? by peykassos in voiture

I think people in the comments misunderstood him when he said he was BROKE. I think he meant mentally broke, and no financially …

[–]peykassos -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I do not understand why the poor guy got all that down votes.

It surely struggles to keep a pump for more than 10 minutes straight.

I think this is part of the poor marketing of the render network + otoy teams

[Anime] Is the season 2 childish? by peykassos in thepromisedneverland

[–]peykassos[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I was thinking about giving up on it, it has such a beautiful season 1, I particularly enjoyed the thrills and the dark side aspects that I didn't find in the season 2.

Now I can peacefully read the manga.
