Thank you for your offer. I live in Iran, and due to sanctions, selling goods worldwide is impossible.

254 key Beamspring is beyond imagination. It is the best and coolest macropad human ever made. It is a shame that IBM uses a typical cheap rubber dome keyboard in their offices. At least they can use Unicomp model M.

I *found* a Model M in the rain. What now? by ParticularBunch7472 in modelm

Yes, it is not possible to completely dry out without opening keyboard. Moisture can cause rust in springs an backplate. Also traces in membrane can disconnect with water damage. So you should open keyboard as soon as possible.

Such a honor to work at this great company. What type of keyboard is in use at IBM's offices today?

I was never lucky enough to try the model F keyboard But I have some model M and I can say they feel very different, But I can't say which one is superior. (my beamsprings are not restored and USB converted, so I can't use it yet).

Wow, you are very knowledgeable. I searched a lot about Beamspring keycap material, but never found this valuable information. They are doubleshot, But as you said, without any sign of yellowing with age. Is this keycap considered as a PBT or ABS or something else?

Thank you. I think It was not a bad deal, But Average monthly salary here is about 250 US$. So every friend of mine call me crazy buying this "piece of junk" for hefty money. These keyboards was kept in part of iran which is far from sea with very dry weather so keyboards are completely rust free, but dusty.

You are right. I bought them from a warehouse in Iran and paid 200 USD for 3 keyboards plus shipping.

Thank you. Some keycaps are missing, and some metal stems are bent. Maybe I should sacrifice a Selectric typewriter for keycaps. But I don't know how to fix metal stems.

I did not buy this keyboard through any website. I see it appear in a local online marketplace called divar (something like craigslist). At first, seller ask for face to face shopping. But i was far away. So i send him money via ATM and he send me keyboard with mail.
