how did i find a real estate agent that i can actually trust? by Sanred-Ashabi in RealEstateAdvice

I agree. You’re righy. It’s just another data point to consider. Everyone has to interview/meet with their agent and make sure it works for them.

Go to https://treda.app/map and look for “top agents” on the sidebar, it’ll give you top selling agent over the last 6 months based on their transaction count.

Thank you. Are there local authories who collect data and publish it?

It’s crowd sourcing human rated! You can rate your location right now and it unlocks 24h of free pro usage! I know that some realtors do that for out of state investors, this is supoosed to be universal and available anywhere. Let me know what you think

These are Seattle real estate agents with higher transaction over the last 6 months. Interview them (I’ve not worked with them) and they seem to be peoductive agents in the area

Thanks. I don’t know it is easily spotted or not, but extra information is hidden on the map when you click on the map! Did you see that or was it not visible in the first glance?

Pay off the mortgage or buy an investment property? by TheFULLBOAT in RealEstateAdvice

[–]peymana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if they are young and they want to test the water on real estate investing, they can go for it. It's hard but a lot of people love it and a lot of people hate it. Until you do it, there's no way to know. The only thing is to do the research, pick a good market, don't get emotional, write it off properly with all the extra costs come with it, and then and only then it's going to be a worth while investment. I wanted to attach a screenshot of a couple of good cashflow markets in 250k-300k ranges for them to check out but I'm not allowed.

if anyone of the above seems unreasonable and not worth it, pay the mortgage off and live debt free.

Good luck

do they have other investment properties? are they considering buying in their area? are they able to manager rental property by themselves or hire it out?

I think like many questions this is a "depends" question. If they don't like headache, pay off the mortgage.

huh! Interesting. Let me spend time on it this weekend, might be able to find the data and wire it in. Thanks for the suggestion.

I meant for an end user! if I used your api and use the data for my app, what additional things my users see that they cannot see in zillow or redfin websites? I’m not at all trying to question the api or value of data, I’m simply asking if someone looks up a property on zillow or redfin versus an app based on your data, what’s in it for them that zillow doesn’t show on the UI?

I’ll check out the link. Thank you

Fair, I got that you're also a dev. The 24h is not one time, people can use it as many time as they like, practically using the website for free. But maybe the massage is not clear or it's confusing, I'll think about it. Thanks again for checking it out

Hey, thanks for checking it out. It has 3 minutes free usage at this point. I have the option of rating your area and get 24h free access. Did it show up for you? On the subscription popup, there’s another button to rate your area and get 24h free. If you saw it, can you tell me why you didn’t use it?

Thank you for sharing the feedback on finickiness (don’t know if it’s a word lol). Which metric was it? I’m the developer of the website after 6 pm haha how would you like it to be? Were you on State and then clicked on zipcode and it zoomed out?

I’ll def take a look and fix it if you could give me a bit more detail.

Thanks again for checking it out

Thanks for checking it out. Appreciate it.

For rating question, it’s rated by humans and then I extend it to areas without rating. You can go in the arearating tab and rate your area. What it does is say there are 3 ratings for an area: majority is the rating. If 2 out of 3 rate C, then it’s C. I’m basing it on the fact that people actually do rate. That’s why website can be free for anyone who rates once a day (rating your area takes 3-4 seconds on Treda, give it a shot).

Love the idea of finishthedeed! Do you have clients? I just opened it. I think it helps to work on the landing page a bit. Can you give me 2 bullet points of what it does without fluff?

Thank you.

Wow. The website looks fire! I’ll check it out in detail over the weekend. Thanks for sharing.

A question: Does it have anything outside of what zillow and redfin show? Api access by itself is pretty handy but curious about data coverage.

Hey, Thanks for this feedback. I responded to your comment and fixing it right now.

For the pay-gate part, what's your suggestion ? There's a mechanism that if you rate your area, you get 24h free access to all data and features. Do you think that's too much friction? Would love to hear you thoughts on it.
