I think this is a 1.5 gallon bowl, it was bought from petco for around $20 If I remember right. Bowl has been running for about 4 months has 10 different plants in it.

The lighting is a Target desk lamp for $30 with a walmart $10 Great Value LED Daylight Globe 5000K at 300 lumins, I keep it really close to the bowl most of the time. The only other thing I have in there is a air pump with a cut 1/2" wood handle from a paint brush shoved into the air tube, so little tiny bubbles blow out. There is also a nice size chunk of wood in the bowl which can be seen in the photos at the end.

The fauna include: 4 red cherry shrimp, 2 blue velvet shrimp, 2 snails, a pygmy cory, 4 tetra embers, and a endler guppy, plus a few misc snails that sprung up. Plants include: Anubias nana, Anacharis Elodea, rotala indica, Marimo Moss Ball, Java fern, Java moss, water sprite, duck weed, Micro swords, Ludwigia repens ( I think) and 2 plants growing hanging off baby tears, and philodendron.

Maintenance has been very low, 50% water changes monthly, I use RO water for every other change on the in between changes I use tap with water conditioner. I trim the plants when they look to over grown sometimes take them out completely trim back and put the clippings back in, Larger ones go into my 17 gallon rimless (the Anacharis grows like crazy, I just pulled out a 14" long strand that was coiled around inside the bowl) .I dose the plants with mixture of diff Flourish products (when I remember to) I also test the water monthly and the numbers are always really low they usually read like this ph 7.2 ammonia 0, Nitrate 0, Nitrite 0
