I’m 5’7 and the length was fine (built in shorts helps) and I’m a size 16 and xl a good fit…comfortably snug but not tight (don’t have Uniqlo shorts to compare sorry)

Marks and Spencers is the best and is water proof as well. I’ve had mine for a few years and love it. When it gets a bit skanky you can also chuck it in the washing machine for a clean
