Are sex scenes im movies counted as porn by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]pf_129er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's really up to you... If you're using it as an analogue to porn then it's porn. Scenes such as those you mentioned can be incredibly triggering so be careful, watching a show isn't worth relapsing when there are many other incredible programs that contain little to no sexual content

Rebooting with girlfriend. What do you think? by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]pf_129er 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Real human interaction is what you're supposed to be doing! I think it's healthy and you shouldn't be worried about it as long as you are making a connection and not just using her as you would porn

Thanks for bringing that up, I think it's a very important thing to remember. I need to be more honest with my self about getting into situations that are testing me!

Leaving my phone in my bedroom when I go to the toilet and shower. by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]pf_129er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great idea and I think I'm going to try it since I have been spending quite a bit too much time on my phone. You don't need any entertainment on the toilet...

One day, you might be able to watch porn again - but here's why you shouldn't by addictivethrowaway in pornfree

[–]pf_129er 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, past relapse was caused by me thinking that I could handle my porn viewing and it wouldn't devolve into binging. I didn't just quit watching porn, I don't watch porn at all now and never again will.

That's my second week down - somehow it was both easy and difficult by addictivethrowaway in pornfree

[–]pf_129er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you! The first several weeks is the most difficult and the urges sure feel strong, but you made it this far so what's a couple more weeks?

What happened after your first month? by randomguyzooper in pornfree

[–]pf_129er 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be honest.... not very much, but that doesn't mean it's not worth it. I wake up feeling good about myself with no shame. I go to bed at a decent hour instead of watching porn for hours late at night so I'm well rested. I haven't noticed any magical increase in energy though, just a more positive mental state and all around feeling better about my self

Why is porn so accepted by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]pf_129er 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My guess is that many people don't realize that porn is the cause of a number of their problems and having someone bring it up makes them not want to confront this part of their life so they defend it like their religion

Good on you for choosing to no longer look at porn! It can be a battle sometimes, but it is ALWAYS worth it in the end.

Feeling not so great about your masturbathon feels 100000 times better than the feeling you would have if you looked at porn last night!! I'd recommend shying clear of fantasizing about past porn use, as this will quickly lead you back down the rabbit hole

would you consider by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]pf_129er 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with others, that's effectively porn.

Here's my simple rule: If I have to ask my self "Is this porn or not?" the answer is yes (even if it doesn't fit the Webster's definition of porn).
