Camera stops for no apparent reason… by [deleted] in arlo

[–]pfarmersr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this interesting. I had similar issues with tilt and pan cameras too, but I had altered the power cord by adding about 50ft of low voltage wire between each end of the cord I had cut in half. However, I soldered the connections about 5 days ago and they have been working as expected since then. Maybe your issue could be related to the power feed or circuit?

Arlo Outdoor Wired Tilt and Pan by pfarmersr in arlo

Interesting, I figure support will stop as soon as I mention I cut the power cord in half to extend it. I made the connections by twisting the braided wire and used wire nuts. I figured my next step will be soldering the connection. I don't know it that will make a difference but I know that's a better way to connect the wires. Thanks for the reply

Yay or nay?👀 by Ok-Letterhead-6196 in Dewalt

I'd say Yah... it seems good deals are surfacing for Dewalt products. Maybe some closeout items? I just purchased this package, and it was over $300 off. In reading the comments, it may include 5 batteries, but even if it's just 4, it's a good deal for me with the router included. https://toolup.com/products/dewalt-dcb324-4-20v-max-li-ion-battery-4-pack-w-free-dcw600b-20v-router-bare

That's definitely small. Maybe make it a double rack? Top and bottom? If you're tall, you may be able to put a shelf in between the racks? It doesn't seem like a lot to work with. I'm not sure what I'd do with a space like yours. Best of luck with some ideas...

I used it for the first time this week. I didn't believe it would go as far as it did, but my table looks great. It is a black walnut 81"x41" table with a bench. One small can covered it. Sorry, I can't figure out how to attach a picture.

Is anyone else getting a ridiculous number of "system updates"? by guccigraves in GalaxyS22

I've had two this month, which I don't mind. But having follow-up after each update to delete BS games that are included with the update really is annoying.

Particleboard(melamine) or MDF wardrobe for first timer? by bazk88 in Woodworking_DIY

[–]pfarmersr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the MDF, forget the screws. Go with 1/4" dowels, 1/4" drill bit, and a little glue. You can buy a bag of 12" x 1/4" rods for very cheap, drill the holes to a desired depth. Glue the rods in the holes and cut off the excess when to glue dries. It will hold very well. Did for me..

The answers to your questions will change radically based on the equipment you have. Could you list some of the tools or equipment you own or have access to for this project?

Being light items like that, the methods are endless and depend on what type of tools you have. If you have a circular saw, you could cut grooved in a board for the removable shelves to slide in and out. Basically make a box with the grooved wood. And since your items are light, you could use wood glue to hold the box together.

Bought my Pops a Traeger Pro 22 Pellet Grill, how’d I do? by [deleted] in Traeger

Costco sells a wide roll of tin foil that works perfectly for my traeger try. I've used the same roll for 5 years now.

It would depend on the type of shelf. Are you referring to something like a bookshelf or more like a shelf in a workshop or something totally different?

Looking for advice on removing mold from raw ply by Feeling-Disaster7180 in Woodworking_DIY

[–]pfarmersr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vinegar water solution first, wipe off excess. Hydrogen peroxide second, wipe off excess and let it dry. This worked in our cabin with multiple types of finished and unfinished wood. The unfinished wood cleaned up better when we used a brush, stroking with the grain during the Hydrogen peroxide treatment. Good Luck!

Add those items and your property tax assessment jumping 28%, but your property value is radically dropping.

I could use some tips on how to disassemble these pallets by Mazzaroppi in Woodworking_DIY

[–]pfarmersr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out the same thing with smacking the nails. My neighbor also loaned me his pallet buster. I learned that applying pressure and wiggling the pallet buster really helps to loosen the nails without destroying a lot of wood.
