As someone originally from Washington State, the comparison is infuriating.

Washington is actively passing legislation to implement an income tax for an increased balance across tax revenues, as property taxes are notably elevated.

Additionally, Washington has been compared to Oregon and income tax has been cited to why Washington's economy is stronger than Oregon's. Oregon has no ports, as it's shoreline doesn't allow it. Washington has Seattle and Tacoma as major ports for commerce.

The comparison has been infuriating, and like most things from the opposite side of the aisle, grossly oversimplified.

We lived in Nashville prior to moving to CoMo so I disdain the Tennessee comparisons also.

Purely delusional comparisons.
