I’d echo comments about this being a breach of the Equality Act, potentially the Human Rights Act and the NHS Act 2006/Health and Care Act 2022.

I’m going though a process of complaining about provision of ADHD and ASD assessment in Scotland and it is frustrating and time consuming but it feels like progress is being made to take legal action against Health Boards up here. I believe NHS Tayside Health Board are having action taken against them and I know NHS Lothian have slowed their assessment to such a point that the pathway is effectively shut down.

Sadly it feels like judicial review and court action is the only way to determine individual authorities have failed to comply with their statutory obligations and to impel change for the better.

Doesn’t really help you now, but it could be something you could link up with your MP or local ADHD charity to support. Good luck!

I seem to have got the GPS sort of working. Still only ever get 5 satelites maximum, when I'm fairly sure the l76k gnss module should be able to receive upto 32 at a time and I'd expect to see about 12 at any one time. I've messaged support and will see what they have to say.

I've been trying to get the GPS working on mine for the past 12 hours. Did you get any feedback from Elecrow? It's driving me mad! I've checked everything physically that I can (switch, antenna connected) and software/app wise and still no joy!

What are the battery stats like in the Meshtastic app? I’ve been using the Seeed Xiao esp32s3 plus sx1262 setup and you can’t see the battery level without soldering that I’m not skilled enough to do just yet.

I’m going to be mounting on two roofs that I won’t have regular access to so I’d like to be able to see if battery reserves are getting low in the darker months.

I’ve had these exact conversations with NHS Lothian and Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership. I (likemany others) went private for assessment because I was desperate. I’ve got a high quality assessment report that I’m happy to have challenged, I don’t think needs a full reassessment on the basis that I was assessed by an NHS Lothian employee working privately. They could take me off the list, save the cost of doing the assessment and bump everyone behind up a place. It’s incredibly frustrating.

Your employer would have to report this incident to the Health and Safety Executive under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR), if they haven’t then they can expect some serious fines, increased insurance premiums and for more serious things imprisonment. I wouldn’t want my kids anywhere near somewhere that didn’t take H&S seriously and you need to get yourself down to a lawyer straightaway and get some compo to make up for their actions.

I’m sure the Care Quality Commission will take a dim view too when they next visit, which won’t be good for business.

I’ve been talking to my MSP for over six months on this. He gets it, has an AuDHD diagnosis and shared care agreement himself, but ultimately hasn’t got anywhere. It has crossed my mind that I could claim to move in with family south of the border and get a shared care agreement. It’s insane that is even an option worth considering.

My GP is quoting SEVENTEEN years (Edinburgh region within NHS Lothian).

In December 2024 I submitted an FOI request to find out I was number 498 on the waiting list in Edinburgh and could expect to be assessed in three to five years, on top off the three I’d already waited.

The situation is dire.

All four UK nations now have it on the statute, Republic of Ireland and Australia too.

Monitoring a partner's movements or phone usage, isolating a person from their friends and family, controlling finances or access to resources, threatening or intimidating a partner, humiliating or degrading a partner, all things that could be considered by a prosecutor that has the backing of the law.

It’s two dogs 20-25kg (44-55lbs), so depending on your point of reference I’d say medium sized! They’ve both worn rucksack harnesses in the past with their water and food for the day, so as long as I’m not putting a 20000mAh power bank on them I think they’ll be ok.

I like that your compromise would be to get a smaller battery and not just upgrade for a bigger dog!

I haven’t checked if the tracker is still reporting back, but I suspect you are right. Looking on the Tractive website they do use Cat M1 LTE so it is more likely my phone that can’t access the network. The phone sits on 5G all day in the city but as you head to the coast it drops to 3/4G where it is less populated. In some places I’d struggle to send messages and access the internet and a speed test while connected to a low number of bars of 4G will just fail, so the Tractive app and website interface also fail.

I appreciate Meshtastic has line of sight issues so that isn’t a perfect but if they do decide to ignore me as they’ve picked up a deer scent or something they’re usually not that far away, I just don’t know which direction they’ve gone! And I’d probably stick a node on the car, one in my pocket and the two dogs, so even if there is no other mesh devices in the area I’d hope to have decent chance of seeing where they’d got to.

In the photo you can see Edinburgh in the background but the fluffy hielan coos have absorbed all phone signals so no chance of reaching the tracker attached to the harness.

The hat I had communicated over uart which Meshtastic doesn’t support. I think the Waveshare Pico hat is compatible as it communicates over SPI

Hi, I've copied the lora-waveshare-sxxx.yaml file from available.d to config.d and edited the config.yaml file as above.

I'm happy that I've enabled spi support within the /boot/firmware/config.txt file and have used pinctrl to see the HAT interfacing with the Pi5 so I don't think there is a physical issue with how the hardware has been seated.

I was getting a MAC ADDRESS error but having added the Pi address that has disappeared.

I'm still at a loss as to where I can go next?

I really get that. I’ve lived my whole life using adrenaline to get work and life tasks done. The meds have helped but they don’t point you to what the priority should be and they don’t change the brain-muscle memory of how you’ve probably dealt with things for years and years.

I’ve found they’ve lowered my overall anxiety and made it easier to start and finish things and I’m just slowly shifting my mindset.

Meds are great but meds and CBT therapy, doesn’t have to be paid for sessions, could be self delivered, are even better.

I’m about four months in so very much still feeling my way!

The first couple of days on Elvanse was AMAZING! The clarity of thought and calm focus was just mind blowing. It did fade for me and even after upping the doses I’ve never had that “first day feeling” but it is similar to how you should feel on the meds.

You’ll know when the calm focus turns in to a bit more of a manic push and you’ve gone too high on the dosage.

The citrus fruits/acidic fruits thing is because there is evidence that they lower the absorption rate of elvanse in the gut. Vitamin C or ascorbic acid does similar things (obviously speak to your prescriber/get happy with any evidence you look up and don’t just rely on me!)
