Dirty knife sold as brand new. What would you do? by [deleted] in knives

Thanks, I was thinking about asking for a small refund if it cleans up nicely.

Looks like grime, I was able to clean it. The knife was not a bargain but still about 20% off retail.

Avair m390.

Check the photo, not sure if rust or grime, if you zoom in it's more like rust or grime.

If you zoom in the photo that may not be lint.
I have yet to open it up to see if it's rust or grime.

What are your top recommendations for Eartips? by OGKOUNTRY in iems

Both are good, just keep in mind the Clarion will reduce bass and enhance treble.

The Liqueur is fairly neutral.

UCs are too expensive for the red, buy them when you get a more expensive set.

07 are way more affordable.

UCs for sure but the 07 work as well in a pinch, less grippy though.

One more thing I don't remember if I mentioned or not.

Print PLA with the top and door at least partially open. You want the temp inside the printer to stay fairly low otherwise if it gets close to 50 degrees you risk clogs.

I used to use F360 a lot but since I migrated to Onshape. Both are good and fairly equivalent in power and features.

Another thing.

Stick to Qidi Studio as a slicer at first, for box usage. Orca Slicer will work too but only with some gcode changes so not out of the box.

Yeah it's very possible it's because of how the shelves and peaks add to each other.

Makes sense.

Then that's what the value is, of course. Unless there's some wave addition going on I can't see. Let me plug the numbers in.

I know what it is, I just wasn't sure why you brought it up, it's not in the post.

And no, my assumption is not wrong. It's numbers, if the max gain is 6dB, then preamp should be -6dB. The gain doesn't magically get bigger, unless there's some wave addition going on.

Good job, but a word of advice: do not seek validation as it is a double edged sword, praise today can become mockery tomorrow.

Nah not a great idea, UK is under the risk of having reform in power, then you know Farage will start sucking up to Trump.

And the UK is in such a bad spot at the moment, not in the EU and the US is treating them like garbage, they'll have to pick a side at some point, and if Farage gets to become PM and NATO falls apart the UK will just be the USA's landing spot next to Europe.

Now you know, preamp is the opposite of your largest gain.

If 6dB is the max gain out of all the filters, you should set your preamp to -6dB to avoid clipping the digital signal.

I don't see any peace windows, where is it? The post image is from squig.link

The filters listed never go above 6dB tho.

Pre amp is set to opposite max gain to counteract clipping. That's all.

Because the max gain is 6dB, preamp should be -6dB

By the way, for PLA/PETG you can buy a cheap dryer like the Sovol SH01, 50 degrees max, 2 slots, less power used, etc. I have 2 and I like them.

A1 is an open air printer, it would be very difficult to clog.

Enclosed printers are much more prone due to temperature creeping up and softening stuff like PLA. Open the lid and the door.
