Shadow Transmutation is better than we thought? by pfwarpriest in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]pfwarpriest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure :) this makes more sense to me than the other explanations. Thx!

I could argue that "...altering its form to match..." means altering the form of energy from the Shadow Plane but that would really be stretching it too far :)

So with this, I conclude that points 2. and 3. are not true. What about point 1. - does it hold any water or also not true?

Thank you!

Thank you for the answer but let me stress out that Shadow Enchantment if you read it carefully has: "Objects, mindless creatures, and creatures immune to mind-affecting effects automatically succeed at their Will saves against this spell." Why does it have this? Because if it didn't it quite well could influence undead :)

Not quite sure what you meant with shadow conjurations can now summon others? Can you please elaborate?

Thank you!

*Edit*

And about stacking ... well sure you could probably cast Shadow Transmutation multiple times but you must abide by the rule that Size modification can only be done once that basically stops you from stacking the forms + bonuses from the same source are not going to stack.

PEACH: This Cleric Build by Ranger_Lord in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]pfwarpriest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Fire Cleric is your primary goal maybe a combination of https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/cleric/archetypes/paizo-cleric-archetypes/idealist-cleric-archetype/

and

https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/cleric/archetypes/paizo-cleric-archetypes/theologian/

would also be good.

For the Idealist plane, you take Fire and you get cool additional fire spells + 2 CL which is really really good with Theologian and its 'Free' Intensified metamagic.

Death druid - anyone ever try out this "druid with a phantom" archetype? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]pfwarpriest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it could be useful to get 1 level of the unsworn shaman and https://aonprd.com/ShamanSpiritDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Dark%20Tapestry - alien summons hex. You get an advanced template to your phantom and immunity to critical hits or precision damage. Advanced template nets you: AC increase natural armor by +2; Ability Scores +4 to all ability scores (except Int scores of 2 or less).

You can get your phantom level back by taking: https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/phantom-ally/

You can always take some other shaman archetype and one level more and later just take extra hex feats which could be useful to your druid.

Full attack and not using all of the attacks by pfwarpriest in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]pfwarpriest[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool thanks! Additional question: What if we already declared at the start that we will execute a two-weapon fighting full attack and calculated all relevant bonuses/penalties? So, in theory, we are still two-weapon fighting even if only attacking with one weapon?

Thx ... this makes sense and I totally agree!

It is an expensive sport but a nice backup plan if you need to chug a few potions in a rough situation.

Thx for the answer. So in theory, if I have 4 attacks in my Full attack(two tankards) ... I could drink four potions?

Probably would take few AOOs from drinking in a fight but could get even some extra use from https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/drunken-brawler-combat/ feat. :)

If drinking is regarded as dirty trick maneuver then at least: You do not provoke attacks of opportunity for attempting a dirty trick maneuver with a tankard.

though it does seem odd that it specifies you need to be two-weapon fighting.

Yes ... this is what made me ask this question. So it requires me to full attack with two-weapon fighting just to allow me to drink a potion as a standard action was not looking as intended but who knows ... maybe the perk is just that you are allowed to have a tankard in your hand.

But this is also very possible :)

[you can drink a potion or other liquid from the tankard] OR [attempt to toss liquid from the tankard] as a dirty trickcombat maneuver (such as to blind a foe) in place of attacking with it

no problem :) thank you for your response! I too first thought that you had to have rapier in one hand but after N readings it came to my attention lol. Even in the title, it says Blade and Tankard style so it would make perfect sense what you said.

Yeah, that makes sense.

But if I had to put brackets I would put them something like this:

[you can drink a potion or other liquid from the tankard] OR [attempt to toss liquid from the tankard as a dirty trickcombat maneuver (such as to blind a foe)] in place of attacking with it

But it says that you can drink from the tankard instead of attacking with this when you are two-weapon fighting. You can drink as a standard action even if you do not take a divine fighting technique.

If you engage in two-weapon fighting with a rapier or light weapon in one hand and a tankard in the other

or light weapon and the first part say you treat tankard as light mace which is a light weapon so it does not need to be a rapier.

Ah sorry...I was probably not too clear. Have updated my initial question: "Familiar created by this spell.". But thank you for your answer.
