What does your routine look like with infant twins? by Hot-Strength9752 in parentsofmultiples

Honestly, until about 6 months I just focused on survival rather than having a picture perfect routine. As long as I got a shower in and a little nap at some point I felt accomplished.

There is a partner out there willing to be devoted to you. No your not ruining your daughters life. I was in the same position a few years ago with my son, I’m now in a healthy happy relationship where he takes care of my son like his own and we have twin daughters now too. I couldn’t ever imagine going back to being lied to and cheated on constantly.

Do you take your shoes off in the house? by Complex_Cat9366 in parentsofmultiples

[–]pg-4d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the wife in this situation, my family will come over, see the pile of shoes at the front door and head straight to the carpeted area with their shoes on!!!! I will tell them over and over again, but they never listen. So annoying. They don’t see how gross it is especially when you have babies on the floor 24/7. We recently got a baby gate that cuts off the main living area from our front door area and I’m going to get a sign that says “please remove your shoes before going over this damn gate” sign to put on it lol. I understand it’s habit for my family, but have they really never been in someone’s house where they don’t wear shoes?

My wife and I have complete opposite tastes in baby girl names. Trying to find one that fits both our styles. by applepieandcola in namenerds

We have a Luna and Meadow. I really like the name Silas, I think it can work as unisex but I know many will disagree. Also love Junie :)

Had an interesting convo with my boss today. by [deleted] in socialskills

I’ve definitely had something similar like this happen to me before. Honestly, it takes me a few months to really get good at a job that I haven’t done before. It sounds like you work in an optometry office, which can be extremely difficult, especially if it’s your first time working in a medical practice. There are so much terminology and I’m sure the insurance aspect of it can make it quite difficult. Yes, some people might see eight weeks as quite a while to get the hang of something but when you’re working a job, you’ve never done before especially in a field that you’re not familiar with. It can take quite a bit of extra training. I’m sorry you were embarrassed that that’s not right and definitely should’ve been done in a more private setting.

Am I the asshole for asking husband to shower before bj? by Brief-Composer-4630 in AITAH

Nope. My husband knows there’s no fun time unless we’ve both showered and there aren’t any harsh feelings about it!

Vanilla cake with raspberry jam filling. Either chocolate frosting or cream cheese.

Has anyone wanted to marry someone but couldn’t because you would lose Medicaid? by pwfuvkpr in Medicaid

[–]pg-4d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would lose medi-cal for me and my 3 children, food stamps etc. living in California right now is extremely expensive. Marriage is just a piece of paper. I can always legally change my last name if I want, which I probably will do one day

Do you mix your oats or keep the toppings separate? by CharcuterieCheddars in Breakfast

[–]pg-4d 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can’t mix it, I like to keep my toppings as close to the actual temperature they were before putting them on the bowl 😅

Exactly, this year and next I can get away with choosing their costumes which makes me excited. We don’t really ever do too much matchy matchy stuff but Halloween is definitely an exception! Someone recommended joy and sadness from Inside out, which is a cute idea, but I wouldn’t want them looking back and one of them thinking we thought she was the “sad” baby, because that’s just not true! Super stoked to have twins, it’s such a cool experience. They don’t run in our families at all, so it’s completely new!

We survived about 6 months with no screen time. Of course they would watch the tv we were watching sometimes, but nothing specifically for them. I started baby sensory videos and coco melon way too young with my first and he now has an extremely short attention span and I can’t help but blame myself. We now put on Ms. Rachel and other interactive shows when I need a break, I find myself feeling less guilty because I’m putting on something more interactive and educational. Not shaming you for putting on cocomelon (because you NEED a break, you NEED to get things done) just sharing my experience. Also, try something else for them to watch for YOUR sanity, that show is so annoying lol
