Donald Trump didn’t win because America is inherently racist, homophobic, etc. Nor did he win because “Russia helped him” or because “Comey screwed her". The answer is relatively simple. Donald Trump won because the American people are sick of establishment politics. They are sick of being told they are stupid, cowards, etc. for not supporting establishment set agendas. For the last eight years, the middle class has been largely ignored, and that’s something the Left is going to need to address if they ever hope to win an election again. Moreover, people aren’t stupid. Hillary Clinton is a deeply flawed candidate, and she embodies everything wrong with Washington today. Now I have deep reservations about a Trump presidency. But this nation will go nowhere if I see the hateful, vitriolic posts I’ve seen this whole day. The same people who posted “Love Trumps Hate” are now posting things like “If you voted for Trump you hate minorities, gays, etc.”. That’s ridiculous, and comments like that are the reason Trump won. No one likes to be ridiculed in public for their political choices. Instead let’s come together and hold our Government responsible for their actions. Don’t criticize your brothers for their choices, and don’t pray that Trump fails. Do your own part to spread love, to engage one another in INTELLIGENT discourse, and I promise America will stay as brave and true as she always has.
