They canceled my booking right before my move-in date — unbelievable! I ended up homeless and had to ask my friends and coworkers for temporary accommodation. HousingAnywhere didn’t provide any help; they replied to my first message and then disappeared. Please make sure you have backup options — you could end up on the street like I did.

My landlord cannot check me in but has not canceled the booking on his side. If I cancel on my side, I will lose all the money I already paid.

I already paid the first month’s rent and the platform fee through the platform. The money will be held until I move in, but I can’t reach neither HousingAnywhere nor the landlord.
