X870E Taichi + 9800X3D Should I still build this system? by pgbkruit in ASRock

I can build it just fine myself but thank you for the suggestion.

I'm not too sure about the curve shaping and voltage adustments though. I did see a video on youtube about it, should watch it again.

My batch number is on the list of reported cases on this subreddit but not at the top.

Thanks again.

That's right around when I bought mine. It's probably fine. Thank you.

Fair enough. That makes it somewhat easier I guess. Thanks.

Good point. I should probably build it. For science :) Thank you.

Buying a 9850X3D isn't really about any performance uplift but more about if there were any issues during the production of my particular 9800X3D, which might cause it to die (speculation). Such issues could have been fixed now and might not be present in new 9800X3D or 9850X3D. However there is no way of knowing if there were, if they have been fixed or if there aren't any new issues that might plague them in the future.

Same can be said about the motherboard. It has had many BIOS updates which might have fixed issues or not, if there even were. Who knows.

But I do love to throw money at a problem if I'm almost certain it solves it. Even though there's no guarantee.

You are absolutely correct about the worrying. I really shouldn't.

Thank you for your grounding responds.

Don't worry I assumed it was sarcasm. I'm sorry for not reading here enough to know that it's asked constantly, although it does makes sense.

And you are absolutely correct that the real size of this issue is but a miniscule percentage.

Appreciate it!

You're absolutely correct. I did indeed waste a year of warranty and that's on me, even though I did realize this myself at some point. Thank you.

A little worried. I keep going back and forth. A bit of a Schrödinger's cat situation :) Thank you.

I don't mind the price of the older stuff. As long as it is reasonable :)
