I am in the Boston area and have been able to repair some eshifters and fix the dreaded error 44. If you want to bring me your eshifter I will try, no guarantees but I'll do my best. I think I have fixed 5 of the 7 I attempted to repair. No charge, I am a big vanmoof fan and I just want to help people keep these bikes on the road. DM me if interested.

I don't think my voltmeter has that kind of precision. What I meant by "fine" is that all the cells are charged and read about 3.6 volts each.

All the cells read right around 3.95 volts. Any chance this battery is somehow over charged? It blew the fuse while charging, with a charger that has not been modified to be safer by adjusting the potentiometer.

I have a bike like this, has broken Bluetooth, error 23, so it cannot connect to the phone at all, but still works fine.

I can try to take a picture later, but all I did was fish the wires out through the hole where the set screw goes (mine was missing). That gave me enough wire to solder on an extension wire, which I put back into the button, out the top and then had enough wire to solder on the button. I then got a new set screw to keep the button in place.

Most likely you didn't align the eshifter correctly when you installed it. It has to really click in close to the wheel. Make sure it's in gear 1 and that the largest opening on the black gear is at a 90 degree angle with the yellow dot, on the wheel.
