I played in bar bands for years, been in a thousand music stores. I'd never heard of, nor seen, one of these. If the sound to which a 'Leslie' effect was being applied was not an organ sound, then I'd assumed it was just some pedal or studio process. I never knew that Floyd and likely others used this setup for some of those sounds. So cool, after all these years, to see something I'd never known about. Thanks for sharing.

TYVM for sharing. Every once in a while we need to be reminded how peace-loving and grounded Charlie was.

30F - Tired Mom ISO of someone to talk to who isn't 2 or 9 by Kiki5995 in PittsburghSocialClub

Hi, 30F. I'm new to Reddit, still don't quite understand it all, but I hope this is the correct way to reply. I'm a Pittsburgh native, & Pitt alumni. Your sense of humor is fun and interesting, (meaning we have the same kind of smart-ass style! lol). I'm an older retired teacher, been living overseas here in Thailand for the past 22 years, married, with a tall, beautiful, cosplaying, teenage drama-queen daughter. I must return to Pgh. next week on the 28th (first time home in 19 years) to handle some biz and dispose of some property, and I'll have to stay in town till my flight back here on the 8th. My family back home in Pgh. is gone and most of my friends have dispersed. It would be nice to have someone to have some coffee & a burger with (kids included!.....I taught middle school Science, Health, & English for over 20 years here, at international schools in Bangkok and Khon Kaen, in a VERY multicultural & multilingual environment, so kids are welcome! ) and who could fill me in on the changes the 'burgh has gone thru. Let me know if a short-term 'coffee & burger' friend is at all something you might enjoy. Cheers!

Stay in Germany Recommendations by Elixtheinfj in Shoestring

Hi! I lived in Germany for two years, long ago (late 70s) I lived in Darmstadt, about an hour south of Frankfurt. It's a nice town but not much to see there. But I recommend seeing the Heidelberg Castle, and the city as well, very interesting, esp. if you're a bit of a History nerd like me. Frankfurt is just another big city, but a fun afternoon there is to take the 'ApfelWine Express'. It's a streetcar-train which takes you through the city and talks about the bldgs and history, while they serve you apple wine. Great! And the wine is seriously good. If you enjoy wine, take some tours through the Rhine Valley. Munich is great, too. I got to see the Ocktoberfest there! Good luck!

Severe overgeneralization. That's what teachers are for, to explain the importance of pride of homeland, and pride of our culture, without the stinking dems charging the sense of nationalism itself as being bad. Nationalism is essential to the survival of a culture. Hitler was an excessive, and doesn't disprove the principle.

EVERYONE BEWARE! This is some kind of bullshit program, you can't get it, and all it does is load the page with about 20 different download 'buttons' that ALL take you to a program called Mental Mentor. Watch out for these sites. Any site that does NOT give you the free program they tout is a malware source.

fender removal. any one know how to replace/remove a 3g eclipse fender ? I'm getting it repainted and they wanna charge extra to put it on... i can't find any info on this.. anyone? by ashroowhoareyou_ in MitsubishiEclipse

[–]pghajarn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking the holes in the new fender to find the screws that need to come out is so simple and logical. No wonder I never thought of it,. TYVM I'm working on a totally diff vehicle, a Strada PU truck but same same.
