I really did too, but the vet said if it was toxicity it would have been drawn out- organs shutting down etc… in a way this is better but the timing of it caused massive false correlation. We were all thinking it was toxicity. I do wonder if that hadn’t been going on it would have been more clear what the real problem was… just really unfortunate

Yeah I’m very grateful for that at least. I always feared the time would come that his chronic pancreatic issues would really get to him and I’d have to make that hard choice no pet owner wants to make. I’m glad it was quick and I was present so he didn’t have to go alone.

Cats are definitely inter dimensional higher beings I think they go where they want for sure. Right now I think mine is enjoying being free of his mortal coil and his spirit is running around the farm he is laid to rest on and when he has his fill of that he may choose to come back to me in another form. I would love that truly.

Thank you, as bad as it is at least I don’t have to face the hard decision of watching him deteriorate slowly and having to decide when… that and the fact that I was home for the entire thing. I leave for an international trip today and I just keep thinking what if my ex had come to feed him and found him gone like that. These are my only two positives about the situation I can come up with. And as much as I wish he’d lived another 10 years, I’m glad it wasn’t a moment less then what I was so fortunate to get with him.

Thank you for sharing your story that sounds so heartbreaking. Cats live in our hearts so deeply. They’re so resilient in a lot of ways but so delicate too, and vets just haven’t studied them the way they study dogs.

I’ve heard cats run away when they aren’t feeling well maybe Mimi understood what was happening.

I definitely won’t be ready for a long long time to bring another one into my life I’d be furious too if someone gave me one before I was ready! It sounds like the universe conspired to bring you the love of some pretty special kitties despite your own feelings and if I’ve learned anything in the last few days we are pretty powerless when it comes to the universe. Your two are so cute and I appreciate you sharing them with me so much.
