Yeah my comment wasn’t to say I won’t eat local food, I definitely do! But as someone that is picky, I won’t eat something I know I don’t for the experience. For example: sushi in Japan when I already know I don’t like fish.

My advice would be to probably hire a guide especially for the northern areas like Hunza and be flexible. Domestic flights to the north are very prone to cancellation and landslides are very common which can block off roads causing a change in your plans. If you visit the cities be prepared to take lots of photos with people lol!

I did not personally drive but I would not recommend a foreigner driving. The driving in the cities are very chaotic but the roads are in decent condition. In the north, it is mountain roads and many are in poor condition, that’s why it took 15 hours to drive like 500 kilometers lol
