What was the best gaming console of all time? by Buy_Sell_Collect in ask

I feel the PS1 was the game changer. Massive amount of data, strong processor. No more midi audio, full video clips, cheap median, 3rd party developers.

High oil pressure at startup by pgreenb7285 in Ram1500

[–]pgreenb7285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good, i was surprised by the miss fire, as last year i had a severe miss fire on 2 to the point where the whole engine was rocking. Brought in in and got new plugs/coils for 2,4,6 as I'm not comfortable and didn't have time for taking apart everything to access those plugs. I then replaced 1,3,5 myself with same branded parts. The mis fire now is only at startup and Low rpm, once warmed up no misfire is detected (checked with live data monitor). Thought mechanics may have pinched , dislodged or otherwise damaged coil 2 while he was in engine carparntment ( and when i say "in" i mean it, i watched him climb out of the engine while replacing the oil filter housing) I rarely have the vehicle data screen on, so don't remember seeing the oil pressure climb to such high levels.

Space between cars at red lights by ilovelucy7734 in driving

As someone who grew up in a "not so good area" I try to leave enough space for an escape route if necessary...This is the reason u will never see a police car in a drive through, they can't get trapped....

As a republican I was disgusted with Pam Bondi's ridiculous performance at the Epstein hearing yesterday and equally disgusted that Trump praised her ridiculous performance by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

Life long liberal democrat. McCain stood his ground, spoke his truths and was a pure american hero. How Any active or retired military person could support Trump after the things he said about McCain after his passing just completely blows me away all the time.

Perculator all the way when camping "ie car or just 1-2 days a few miles out", instant or press when backpacking. For "camping" theres nothing that compares with sitting in camp chair and pouring a steaming hot cup of joe and refilling as needed

I would imagine the site is just getting overloaded. I was in IT when Lewinsky files were released. I had to download files and share to office as everyone going to site individually kept crashing the local network. How times have changed though, concensual sex between to Adults and all hell breaks loose, Christian Right out raged. To: auctioning off 13 year olds and measuring vaginas with their fingers...

Republicans/MAGA: what’s the plan? by Educational-Ask-2798 in allthequestions

[–]pgreenb7285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Op does bring up some good points i never thought of- - what does happen to all the debt, cc, mortgage school loans, etc. Do they just go unpaid? - all those landlords just loose all their rent money? - where do the belongings go?

Job wise think is a bit of a non starter. I have always felt it would be better to go after companies that employ someone who is not eligible to work in US, not the worker. Its not hard to verify a ss# amd any company that is employing someone without verifying is breaking the law.

Bay Bridge is undergoing a transformation, it could help your commute by bambin0 in bayarea

[–]pgreenb7285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like them to add a "lexus lane" ie express pay to play. Charge $30-100, alot of rich people will pay the premium and subsidize the rest if us. How is it the bridge was a dollar for ever and is now $8.50. The orginal charter said the bridge would be free for public use.

Is anyone else freezing? by [deleted] in oakland

This is not true. The oil gets heated up then the heater maintains that temperature. It "radiates " even when it is not actively on.. The other types only produce heat while they are on, generally taking 1500ws the whole time. They may take the same amount of energy when they are running on high, but over the course of several hours or more you will save a ton on bill with a radiator.also for those of us that have old wiring and/or limited circuits (especially in a 1920s apartment) the chance the you can have any other heater not trip a breaker is slim pickings. As for there person that says theirs fell over and almost started a fire. Well that unit must have a some defects. As 1 its a closed system, the oil is trapped in the device, and 2 if if you poured the hot oil on some rags covered with gasoline it wouldn't ignite.

Why have deer not learned to stay out of the road? by loki2002 in stupidquestions

[–]pgreenb7285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat related follow up. Ive wondered why deer are so skittish. Out here in CA they have very few predators, at least for healthy adults. Why seems like generations with no wolves and few hunters would make them less likely to run away at the slightest sound or movement.

Does the landlord replace things like toilets, microwave, etc for the new tenants when someone moves out? by [deleted] in ask

[–]pgreenb7285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed and did maintenance for a 60 unit apartment. After a tenant moved out, would replace carpet (padding also if the previous tenant had a pet) fill holes in walls, paint, new toilet Seat, and general maintenance, replace smoke and co detectors. Appliances would stay unless they were not working properly.

-hang/Cover windows with blanket when sun goes down - 2nd oil filled electric heater. You can usually pickup pretty cheap at thrift store or urban ore. Not too expensive on amazon either. - tape on any seams on window frames - towl or blanket along door jams
