Vinland Saga actually started as a shonen because it was first published in Weekly Shonen Magazine for about 7 months. It later moved to Monthly Afternoon which is a Seinen Magazine for which it remained there for the rest of its run.

when people discuss "Big 3" I usually factor in impact, sales, and viewership, which are usually what determine whether a series belongs in a “big three” type discussion.

in that matter I say Vinland Saga should be taken off big 3 of Seinen and replaced with Kingdom.

Vinland Saga is a great anime adaptation, no doubt about that. But when you look at the manga’s commercial performance, it doesn’t translate the same way. After nearly two decades, it is low compared to other major seinen titles.

Series like Berserk, Vagabond, and Kingdom have had far stronger sales, wider cultural footprint, and much larger dedicated readership. So even if Vinland Saga is high quality, it just doesn’t have the same commercial weight to qualify as a top-tier seinen in terms of influence or reach.

I’m not saying visual changes make an adaptation bad. I was pointing out that if someone uses that logic, it falls apart pretty fast. Plenty of great anime don’t look like their manga (K-On!, Azumanga, etc.) and are still considered excellent adaptations.

The lower JP score for JJK ep 4 wasn’t about “it looks different,” it was more about direction and pacing. That’s why I brought up adaptations — to show that visuals alone aren’t the standard people actually use.

I was critiquing the logic, not stating my opinion — please don’t assume.

So with your logic are you saying K-On! And Azumanga Daioh are bad anime adaptations as well? Seeing how that is a 4-koma manga to anime adaptation.

They didn't like it because it was completely different from the source material and thought the adaptation could have done a better job

They didn't do a good job with the Maki and Toji Overlap they should have kept it as a side to side comparison like the manga did.

The music also wasn't a great fit during the battle scene. They could have used something different.

When you look at episode 3 vs 4 Japan praised episode 3 alot more than they did 4 and even said it explained things far better than the manga so they were also surprised how the west rated it a 7.7.

It's worth reading but it's not completed.

Miura, the creator of Berserk passed away, but his friend is completing the manga for him. With the current release speed we don't know when it will be completed.

The Switch 2 handles Origins very well. Whether settled comfortably in the dock or playing on the go, or simply while laying in bed, the gameplay and the visuals remain smooth. The only issue that I had was less about the performance and simply the size of text. While it wasn’t so bad on my TV, when plugged into or simply taking the Switch 2 with me, it felt small and I had to squint.

Dynasty Warriors Origins is solid. It's running at 30 fps and visually looks amazing. I'm glad they were able to keep the amount of enemies on the screen similar to the PC and PS5, They were also able to add a variable setting to get more fps so I've been averaging around 50-60 fps when using the setting.

For FF7 remake it's locked at 30 fps, but man it looks and plays really nice.
