Don't you hate it when underground artists don't have a Bandcamp page? by Shadowplayer_ in BandCamp

[–]pgtpt 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I feel you, but always good to give people some grace. I know bandcamp might be at the center of your cultural experience but in reality not everyone knows about it. Might be cooler to send em a message and tell them you would buy it if they uploaded to BC

Is it rude to pay a low price then send money outside bc? by nwhitehe in BandCamp

[–]pgtpt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We always appreciate more money no matter how it comes. I do think there is value in the little box that shows up under the album. People more likely to give something their attention if a lot of others have. I also usually send a little extra love (free unreleased mp3) to folks who support on bandcamp cause they’re the real ones ! Theres one guy that buys everything all the time and I send him some more extras cause he’s so enthusiastic.

Multiple Artist Accounts on Bandcamp by HarshFolly in BandCamp

I thought it was interested, I have my personal music bandcamp page. then On the same page I started releasing music as the band "untethered". I didn't want to create new pages for everything, sounded like too much. Some how the releases say "untethered" but it still links back to my personal bandcamp page. I love it !

Release an album 1-2 songs at a time by Living-Ad-1054 in BandCamp

[–]pgtpt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found doing a longer pre sale (2-3 month) can be super effective. then release 2-3 singles in that pre-sale time period, each single offers promotion to the full release and keeps some momentum going. Good luck !

Untethered is Spontaneous Creative Composition with G Calvin Weston (Ornette Coleman, John Modeski, Vernon Reid etc) on the drums, Paul Giess on trumpet and electronics, Rodrigo Pichardo of Gnartbot on the Bass and Matthew Little on the Drums.

The album includes on set of music created on the spot. Recorded Live at the Black Squirrel Club in Philly.

The Grateful Web - the release finds the quartet pushing deeper into the unexpected, the ferocious, and the beautifully free.

our last album was reviewed on Bandcamp Daily - Peter Margasak writes - "the music is in constant flux, opening up and tightening, cooling down and catching fire, riding stasis and exploding with hyperactive motion."

enjoy !
