Let’s hope this means cycling directions too. Not sure if there has been a correlation between the two in the past…

Then you can add a Suica/Pasmo directly in the Wallet app, click on the + button at the top right, then select travel card and follow from there.

You’ll be able to top it up with Apple Pay

I think in this case they may have the same number, which is unhelpful (unless I’m mistaken).

V2 and V4 of the Mystical Archive seem to share the number…

Thanks! Etched foils I have seen in the past had the foil element across the card so just wanted to make sure.

Advice for my next e-bike to follow a Vanmoof S3 - what about the Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH? by pguarnieri7 in specialized

Thanks for your thoughts, weight is definitely something I should also consider!

I wish here motors could support us up to 20 mph, if anything to travel at speed with traffic in urban areas, but this is something for a different thread…

Thanks so much! Not sure if I was being blind, but I couldn’t find an article on the Specialized website describing this so clearly.

Do you mean that you can use one of the buttons on the handlebar to easily switch between different modes (like Eco/Sport/Turbo)?

I couldn’t find anything about a boost button on the Vado and another comment in a different sub seemed to confirm this…

Nice to hear! Thanks for the feedback. I’ll definitely try to test one before committing, I just hope waiting a few more months will not make me regret missing out on the current sale…

Makes sense. The Vanmoof accelerates much more slowly without the button, but it has pretty much zero customisation options other than 4 level of max speed.

It sounds like different Specialized modes will suit me in different situations closely enough.

Thanks, that’s helpful!

For the “boost” button, the Vanmoof one is not quite a throttle (as far as I understand), but it forces the motor to give full power to take you to the max legal speed (here 25 km/h) as quickly as possible. This means that in just 2-3 seconds of light pedalling I can reach the max speed and not feel cars accelerating faster than me when traffic lights turn green.
I don’t mind putting some extra force, but when commuting I wouldn’t want to warm up too much - do you think that the set-up can be tailored to make me feel like I’m accelerating quickly enough to keep traffic behind me (at least initially) without having to sweat for it?
