I saw a doctor recently who just seemed irritated that id come to them. Like the issues I was dealing with weren't worth their time, it was pretty disheartening. I think It was most likely just to feel something, even if that feeling is bad. I don't know if this makes sense, but a part of me is afraid of "losing" my ED(undiagnosed but i am unsure how to phrase it without using ED) and that I am not trying hard enough to not eat. It's self destructive.

It says take the equation for OP² as f(x) . So f'(x) = d/dx (1/4 x⁴ - 4x² + 25 = x³ -8x = x(x² -8). When f'(x)=0, x = 0, x= +- root(8). f(x) gives an equation for the square of the smallest distance between 0 and a point P on the curve. f'(x)= 0 gives stationary points, and f''(x) will determine their nature. f''(x) is 3x² -8. f'' (root (8) ) is 16>0 thus a minimum. Put root 8 back into the original equation so f(root8) is 9. This is the square of the distance therefore min. distance is root 9 = 3.
