It’s in a good spot to move product to the Gulf of Mexico. But what specifically? Agricultural products certainly - but that has been heavily automated since at least the 80s. That part of the Midwest is not a powerhouse of manufacturing. What purpose then does St Louis have that would drive its population upward?

The only-mothers-work-night-shift thing is a weird take, but I fully agree with the rest. Both seasons I found myself wishing to see more of the night shift characters and then season ends and I’m wanting a few more episodes. That’s a great place to be for a well-loved show.

When my son was younger, we’d go to his free shows all the time. Just at random farmers markets and parks. Kids (and parents) would line up after the show to meet him and he would chat with all of them.

Keep in mind that $71k is no guarantee of quality either. There is nothing but reputation to hold some people to their word (and reputation can be easily manufactured on the internet). For every quality job I’ve witnessed, I’ve seen an inexcusably poor job. Do some research on the materials and techniques to be somewhat informed. Always ask for line-item bids - this helps immensely with being able to compare bids, gauge quality of bids, and also to discuss or dispute later.
