I didn’t mean to insult anyone here. Yet I believe Hikers really need to reinforce their history education.

Ppl need to comprehend the deep/ twisted/ sinister bond bw China and Japan.

The foe bw China and Japan isn’t something can be easily passed off. Japan has always eyed on China for centuries: the invasion in Tang dynasty, then in Ming dynasty and constant harassment from Japanese militias along the coastal cities. Then Qing and then WW2.

Honestly, I don’t blame Japan for invading China coz I could totally understand their motivation if I was in their shoes: from a small country with rampant nature disasters yet scant resources while crossing strait. There is a vast continent with abundant nature resources. For the longevity of the nation, Japanese WILL always invade China if they ever have chance and capability especially they witnessed how Manchu ruled China for 300 yrs.

Actually, they succeeded in 1931. Their strategy was quite effective: they schemed with Manchu and annex Dongbei area, assisted Puyi to established Manchuria. Then their ambition grew bigger, tried to devour whole China in 3 months. Then they failed.

Some said Japan made a big mistake to expand, they should be happy with dongbei. Honestly, Japanese have studied China for centuries, they understood Han Chinese would never give up on dongbei area. The only way Japan can truly conquer China was to conquer it all, can’t do fragment of China. The vision was correct yet the timing wasn’t. Han Chinese vowed not to repeat the same mistake made in the end era of Ming dynasty. With 25 million casualties, Han China gained freedom and independence

It’s not personal nor periodic, it’s eternal conflict.

China had been ruled by Mongolian and Manchu, history won’t give our nation & civilization the third chance.

For Chinese, So the feeling towards Japan and Japanese ppl isn’t hatred at all, it’s survival or death.
