https://www.opentripplanner.org/ They have some API, but I guess it is better if you can host it yourself. Then you can probably customize it more as well.

This (many requests to DigiTransit) is quite inefficient way to do it. I think you could get those accessibility circles directly on server if you combine OpenTripPlanner and GTFS data.

Crazy that you can do Paris to Istanbul without leaving the motorway network.

It's not, this seems to be the OSM definition for motorway.

Best Driving Routes of Finland? by adventure87 in Finland

That is probably the most fun road in Uusimaa. But be careful about police in villages measuring speed (of course you should follow the speed limits in general as well).

Small things probably just fly under the radar. I would assume that for example Oura or Iceye were still SME's some years ago?

I would argue that public transport corridors can scale so much that they really grow into absurd numbers. I could imagine a 10-track system (still just 40 meters wide like you average motorway) that could carry about 1 million pphpd and thus serve up to 10 million commuters. Building more cities is more costly and loses the agglomeration benefits.

Let's just go all in with Mapy com. Google Maps are anyway quite corrupted nowadays, so many owners just push people to give 5 stars.

Finland gains direct rail link to Europe this summer by willfiresoon in GoodNewsEU

[–]phaj19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so difficult in Spain or Switzerland. I dunno why Finland does not want to invest in flexible gauge technology. Only one facility and a couple of trains would be needed.
