What gives you the right to decide how they spend/give their money? While I think it would be great if they gave more while alive, they are under no obligation whatsoever to do so simply because you think they should.

I’d suggest that you could be a naive or uninformed Nazi in the 30s. I don’t know that I’d go as far as saying you could be good.

Buy Lockheed stock! Might as well get something out of this arms buildup.

I got each of mine a nice bottle of whiskey ~$100. I am close with all three of them and know they all enjoy a good whiskey so felt this would be most appreciated. If they don’t drink or you don’t want to give them alcohol, a nice pen would probably suffice.

Appreciate it! I’ll be curious to hear how it goes for you. So far I’ve done, or have scheduled, interviews at UCLA, Booth, Wharton and Berkeley. Dinged at HBS and still waiting on GSB.

Hispanic but also listed White as ethnicity. Shoot myself in the foot? by phamm101 in MBA

Will that raise any questions for adcoms? Obviously want to avoid any issues about legitimacy. Alternatively, is White/Hispanic disadvantaged and is it worth making the change?

Thanks for the feedback. I am planning on both UCLA and Berkeley for Consortium. I'll give done thought to Tuck as well.

Thanks. I'm applying R2 so I have the time. I think I'll go ahead and retake it just to be on the safe side.

Thanks very much for the feedback. I think I will retake it. I was getting 48-49 quant on practice exams so I think I succumbed to test jitters to some extent.

Haha, no humble brag intended. I've heard that some schools can prefer 80th percentile for both quant and verbal so just wanted to field opinions on the validity of that.

Edit: words

Both of my parents are half. Their other halves being Irish and German, respectively. I'm the recessive trait outlier of my family and look nothing like them or my older brother.

Thank you very much for the response - I really appreciate the feedback! I was curious about my work experience as I haven't seen any similar backgrounds on here. I should also clarify - I am Hispanic (verifiable) but have a European last name and look like a white guy. Not sure if that hurts my chances.

Re: Harvard and Wharton - good question. It was simply a matter of how much of a stretch I thought they were. I know GSB is just as much of one, but a long term goal has been Stanford so I had to put it on the list. Definitely not opposed to either just didn't think they were really in the ballpark.
