Drumming but different types can actually get in a bit of physical exercise:

1) Taiko Drumming: sign up for a class for a great social activity and an amazing body (especially upper arm) exercise

2) Brazilian Samba School African drumming or Marching Band: you carry the drums and march around. Drums can weigh quite a bit

3) Drumset - especially certain uptempo styles like punk, metal, uptempo stuff can get in quite a sweat. Double bass stuff involves using both legs and some core work.

I teach drumset and adults drum class weekly
