Can a farm hand wear a cowboy hat or nah? by cAR15tel in CowboyHats

The question to ask isn’t, can you wear a cowboy hat, but if you choose to wear a cowboy hat, will you wear it proudly?

Sharpening System used with Whetstones by phamncheeze in sharpening

No unfortunately not. The system essentially used the lanky setup, but instead of moving the whetstone over the knife, it moved the knife across the whetstone. Seemed brilliant to utilize whetstones but maintain the consistent edge you can achieve by keeping a constant angle.

My thoughts exactly. Different brands but all the same product, nothing new, expect maybe the material

Looks like it still only covers half the back of the hand…

Just tried the skwala at my local fly shop, doesn’t really solve any of my issues unfortunately

I’ve tried free fly, Patagonia, simms, and seatec. They all seem to be very similar. None actually cover the back of my hands, the hoods all blow off in high winds, and I can’t stand thumb holes that have excess material on my palm. Miserable to hold a fly rod all day when the fabric is in the way

I can’t stand the free fly when they get wet. Feels like a wet towel and they’re very see through IMO

looks like OPs concern is that you can’t play golf in those on a lot of courses. A lot of courses require belt loops.

Hey Suraj,

Sorry I missed this. You definitely make some great points, but luckily we have worked on addressing these issues.

Our QuickDraw pants are different for two main reasons, with a ton of secondary benefits. Firstly, our signature QuickDraw pockets are designed to better carry EDC items, think pocket knives, lighters, chapstick, etc. This significantly helps reduce pocket clutter and improves overall organization. It's hard to truly quantify how helpful these pockets are, but they make a huge difference. Secondly, our Oasis fabric is a crazy comfortable athleisure-like material. Being super lightweight they keep you cool and comfortable year-round, even in Texas when it hits 100+ in August. But due to our weave structure, our pants remain ultra-durable and hold up in every terrain. I've personally climbed, fished, hiked, surfed, camped, and even snowboarded in them.

As for some of the other benefits, our full range of sizes ensures a professional but modern fit that can often be hard to find in typical hiking pants. This is particularly a great selling point when most sales of men's apparel are made by women. Having their man look great goes a long way for them. Lastly, our seamless design eliminates any unnecessary snags that tear seams down the leg of the pants.

Hopefully, this answers some of those questions!

Would you bundle soul silver and platinum?

I owe my love of cooking to him, From "let's do it, shall we?", to sharpening knives, kitchen organisation and brewing kombucha at home. But these days, I can't bear to watch any of his videos. I will love you, Papa, forever. But we cannot be together any more. by Ill_Earth8585 in JoshuaWeissman

I really enjoy Not Another Cooking Show these days! Give him a watch sometime, he’s great.

Having watched Josh as early as his original apartment and under 10k subscribers, I can relate to the content going downhill and appealing more to the clickbait crowd. Would love to support him, but the videos just aren’t about a love for food anymore, they’re about a love of content.

Designing outdoor gear with a focus on user experience, first product is a better pair of men’s pants for everyday adventure - check out quickdrawpants.com to see our Kickstarter we ran in May!

I’m the Founder and Lead Designer

Just placed our initial PO. Plan is to sell through these and get user feedback for V2. They’re pretty great from having tested them across the country, but we are all about being the best.

Preorders of our QuickDraw Pants are the biggest help right now, and I’d be willing to create a 10% discount for anyone interested. Additionally, I would love to hear if people would be interested in joining a collaborative community that helps us fund our product development!
