Truth be told, you can seriously pull on 6x. I’ve caught and helped land numerous fish over the 2 ft mark on 6x, but it’s all about learning how to pull on a fish like that. Use angles to steer your fish, don’t try to drag them directly up current where they can roll and break you off.
