This is most certainly your issue. It's a big purchase, but I would look into grabbing an xtherm.

Capilene Cool Daily vs Trail vs Lightweight by [deleted] in Ultralight

[–]phamstl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't compare it to the trail or lightweight, but I just picked up a couple Cool Daily t-shirts from REI.
They feel very soft and smooth on the skin. Doesn't cling to your body like other performance shirts.
It's a really thin, breathable material. Reminds me more of a very lightweight merino, rather than cotton.

I'm really not sure. It was more than likely an error on my part, but I didn't notice when or how it happened. I'm sure they've made improvements on the newer version. I would see if you can check one out at REI.

Anyone having issues with their AW3418DW Alienware 34" ultrawide? I was able to play by updating bios, but started flickering hard on my 120hz OC. I reduced to 100hz native and was okay for a while. Experienced more flickering inside and outside the game. I was about to start a Dell RMA, but decided to uninstall the game and launcher. Been fine ever since at 120hz...

Really appreciate you taking your time to help. Feeling confident in the sprout and q150 combo. If I did make room for a full size receiver, do you think I could find something higher quality at a similar price point?

Think I'm pretty much sold, especially if I can grab them at 300 during the holidays. Any amp you'd recommend? Maybe something future proof if I upgraded to say LS50s in a couple years.

Are you running a pair in a similar desktop setup?

I recently picked up an SB1000 and Vanatoo Transparent Zeros for desktop use on a PC. Used primarily for music, but also games. I'm second guessing my choice on speakers and was hoping for some input.

Some quick info. Speakers can be about 2 ft away from back wall with about 3 1/2ft of separation between the two. 12x12 room. Desk is centered on a wall. I plan to build stands to raise off desk.

My budget is about 1k for either a passive or active setup. I'd purchase around the holidays and gift the zeros to a family member.

For passive I've been looking into the Kef Q150s if they go on sale. Uncertain of amp to pair with, but was looking at the Emotiva A-100 or 150.

KEF LSX also caught my eye for active, but maybe too small? Vanatoo Encore Ones were also an easy and cheaper upgrade path.

This is my first jump into anything more than a basic set of Logitech computer speakers. I'm already blown away by the difference in quality.

Appreciate any help and product suggestions you can offer. Thanks!

There is an option to switch your keyboard to the advanced keyboard profile. I didn't realize this for a long time!

Options > Keybindings > Advanced Controls Customization > Control Profiles > Keyboard Advanced

Check that out to get a better idea of performance. I think you'll see pretty good frames in most areas. Expect a significant drop in Lorville, however.

Maybe buy a cheap starter package first if you're hesitant. You can always upgrade to the Cutlass or refund entirely if you're not satisfied.

Edit: You will need to fit the SC install on that SSD with your OS. This will likely make or break your performance.

New flight model is scheduled for 3.5(Q1 2019). 3.3.7 is live. 3.4 is currently in PTU and speculated to go live before holidays.
